BAD ATTITUDES 3/12/2009

I have not had a chance to eat at this place, I had a hard enough time getting a friendly person to talk to, I decided I wouldn't bother with their food. I had sent an invitation to the restaurant for a charity event our company was holding. I went in to the place with the intentions to let them know the event had been canceled.I couldn't get one person to talk to me, the owner told me to hold on and walked away never to return again. RUDE! Customer service prevails over good taste. maybe something they should take into consideration. more

Best burger in town 6/26/2007

If you like Fuddruckers burgers... You'll love this place. There hamburger bun is amazing. Much better than Fuddruckers. The interior is a little rundown but gives it a homey feel. I will have to rate this joint as having the BEST hamburger in town hands down. Reasonable prices too. more

Best I've had in a while 9/21/2006

I've enjoyed (and not enjoyed) many a burger in Austin. Dan's and Fran's burgers are good but their fries make baby jesus cry and the burgers are a little pricy due to their use of primo black angus beef. Sandy's are alright except for the nightmare of entering and exiting the parking lot and they are really only a good value on thursdays and saturdays...oh and the fries are greasy and not well seasoned. Casino el Camino's are fan-freaking-tastic but they are not open during lunch hours. Pros: Burgers, fries, staff Cons: somewhat dry burger more

overrated 9/8/2006

I had a craving for a good burger, and after reading all the great reviews about Burger Tex, tried it out. I was really disappointed. First of all, the gave me (and charged me for) a combo meal, even though I only ordered a burger. I wasn't a fan of the fries and didn't even eat them. The burger just wasn't that great-- it was okay. Since then I've discovered P Terry's and it's the best burger I've had in Austin, so I know where to satisfy my burger cravings! more

YES!!!!!!! 12/13/2002

Finally, a decent burger in Austin! Yummy toasted bun, large juicy patty, do it yourself condiment bar, tasty fries, and cheap! I was starting to lose hope. Outside of the thursday and saturday special at Sandy's, the finest burger in Austin. Watch out for the ""golgi"" burger, or whatever they call it. A burger chopped up and teriakyed. Probably an acquired taste. Pros: YUMMY, cheap more

My Favorite! 11/14/2002

This is one of my favorites. I hear the Korean fare is outstanding, but every time I can't resist the burger - best I have ever had! I prefer the one by campus - their buns are better and they are a litle friendlier. Pros: inexpensive, prompt service more

BEST BURGER IN TOWN! 10/28/2002

THis place rocks...i prefer the burger tex off of airport...where the fixins are fresh and chilled, the service is adequate and the people are friendly...the burgers are so money...you gotta try this place if you periodically salivate for a satiating bacon cheeseburger on a toasted kaiser roll... 'nuff said...see you there...(i'll be the guy smiling in between bites...) more

Out of this world! 10/24/2002

Best Burger I have ever tasted. A very nice mom & pop place where most college students and professionals have a burger during lunch or dinner!!! Excellent!!! more

Like cold, limp french fries, dry meat and limp veggies? more

Like Fuddruckers, but better! 8/25/2002

Seriously, these burgers have a flavor that no other place can reproduce. If you want greasy, fatty, burgers, dirties is fine, but if you want to add your own fresh toppings to the biggest tastiest burgers in town than look no further. more

Best hamburger 8/12/2002

It was great burger as I heard. Fixing my own burger was merit too. Onion Ring and Okra were very nice. Considering price it is hard to find restaurant like this. Very imperssive and Best taste. Pros: Best taste, cheap, good shakes Cons: too many people, wait long, kind of hot more

Very best food and price. 8/7/2002

It was excellent food and price. Too crowded, get earlier or later to avoid lunch traffic. Anyhow it was great worth to have. Best hamburger as I heard, no doubt. Pros: Inexpensive, Good parking, Excellent food Cons: Too crowded, Not enough table, Broken foosball table more
