Horrible Managment 9/28/2012

When I paid to remodel my bathroom, they put me off for several weeks just to mess the job up and they refused to fix their screw ups and told me I need to pay for their mistakes. Would not recommend even giving them a call, these people should be ashamed of them selves. more

Avoid Builderhaus at all costs 9/15/2011

Sent an under-skilled laborer to what should have been a simple and quick carpentry task: the bottom portion ("stool" and "apron") of a single window. Spent 6 hours, pulling the original trim and deciding to remove the sill, then cutting all new trim. Couldn't size the pieces properly, and even managed to split the wood trim by mis-hammering the nails -- so ended up wasting all the materials. Never even got close to completion, and left in significantly worse shape than it was before, with a pile of debris behind. Now the entire window has to be redone, including cutting a new sill and trim. Contacted the company with concerns multiple times about the damage, over a number of days, but they never got back to me. They finally called a week later demanding the balance of $200, and threatening to put a lien on my property. No apology, offer to rectify their bad work or even minimal attempt to provide customer satisfaction. Suffice it to say I'd warn anyone away from using their services. Filed a BBB report, to which they fabricated a response that I had "signed off" as satisfied-- when I had signed nothing and had made them well aware of how dissatisfied I was. more

Do Not Use This Company 4/25/2011

I hired them to come out and put in a subfloor in my converted garage to level the floor so i can be used as a living space. They advised me that a subfloor could not be put in that a concrete floor would be more stable and that they would have to take down the existing paneling to do the floor and that they would do all of it...The price by far was very reasonable. The work however was shotty to put it nicely. Instead of standard concrete they used self leveling compound to level up to 4" (the room still not level). I was told that I could put tile right on top of this floor and that I could put furniture on it until I had it tiled... after checking with several tiling companies because the floor has steps and is cracking, the tile will do the same so the floor can not be covered. And less than 1 month after it was done the floor is cracking and after a rainstorm have water seeping in thru the cracks and I have been informed that they will not repair. They are now telling me that because I put furniture into the room and walked on the floor its cracking... the funny thing is that the cracks are no where near the furniture... and I do not weigh enough to crack concrete floors. more
