Bugaboo Creek Steakhouse

So basically this place is like an Outback, but it has a Midwest theme... or it could be a Canadian Rocky theme. It probably has a wider array of food choices than an Outback, but it has the same bread and you can order a bloomin' onion and the menu features mostly steaks. If you like this type of thing then the quality is fine. The last time I was there the service was excellent though. Very attentive and they got everything correct. more

Bugaboo Creek Steakhouse is a great, family-friendly restaurant. The service is excellent too. It's decorated like a friendly hunter's lodge - and if you've never been, you're in for a treat. Periodically, the animals on the walls (buffalo, moose, fish and a racoon) move and talk. This is very entertaining for the kiddies! They serve salads, steaks, chicken, burgers and more. The price range for entrees is about $8 to $20. The steak is served to your preference (rare up to well done) and they have you cut it in front of them to ensure it is how you like it. The steak itself is wonderful, the best steak I've had in a long time. The burgers are good too, if a bit over-cooked. The side-salads are delicious, with a good selection of veggies and croutons. The kid's menu is well priced, from about $3 to about $4 depending on the entree. The kid's entree's include most of the standards (mac& cheese, noodles, cheesburger, grilled cheese, hotdog) as well as steak and ribs. Many of the kids meals come with fruit, and they all come with an individual icecream dessert. Pretty good value! more
