Dr. Mason is awesome! This group is full of pros, all very good at what they do and they don't push surgery on you when it's not necessary! I actually had gone to a different doctor in the area (whom I was referred to by my doctor) who put me on an unrealistic treatment plan and I would have ended up being considered for an unnecessary surgery when I went back for followup and didn't meet the expectations(they told me surgery was possible). Upon a friend's advice I went to Dr. Mason for a second opinion and got on an aggressive PT program and rehabbed from the ski injury no problem with no surgery necessary(Dr. Mason literally told me right out there was no reason to even think about doing surgery)! He even found another issue with my other knee and got me all fixed up! My mom sees him also now for her shoulder and knee issue from a bad fall. The staff's always been great, not sure what these other people are talking about, they've always been nothing but polite and helpful! more

I went to this group for a few years. I liked the doctor that I was seeing there. The office staff, however, is another story. Rude and unhelpful - I finally had the last straw and changed. There are so many good orthopaedic group in the area that I would suggest NOT wasting your time with this group. Buffalo Orthopaedic Group has gotten too big. You call there and sit on hold for ten minutes or more. Staff is rude and it has started to feel like a cattle call when you go there. No thanks. more

The first time I went there I thought both the Doctor & the PA were personable & I liked them. I had to have an injection at a different facility and that's when it went downhill. When I was in the x-ray room my doctor said hi & then pulled out his cell phone & talked on that all the while another person prepped me. That person then did the injection and sent me on my way. The procedure itself was fine however my doctor never told me who this person was, why he wasn't doing it himself and never really took time for me. Then for my follow up visit the scheduler put me in with a different doctor who I just figured was the doctor who gave me the injection I get to the follow up appt, check in & wait 20 minutes & then ask me why I made an appt with this other doctor, which I replied I was given the appt, I didn't ask. They said my Dr. was out and even though I took off a day of work & this other Dr was avail I would have to come back. 3 days later & still waiting on a call to reschedule.
