Best place to stay 5/8/2010

Anytime I am in the area this is where I stay. It is always clean, quiet, and well-lit; Victor is always very sweet and accommodating to me and my family. This is not a large-chain hotel, but that means the customer service you get here is excellent and the facility is very safe, definitely safer than any chain hotels I've stayed in. I've never seen any riff raff, excessive noise, or sketchy characters around in my experiences. If you're in the Longview/Rainier area, I would recommend this place. It's right next to a great Mexican bar and restaurant (El Tapatio) and you're walking distance from a gas station and supermarket if you ever need anything. Don't pay too much mind to the jenshan review, I suspect that the innkeeper's side of that story is more relevant and honest and has fewer gaps than anything he/she says. This place has been nothing but awesome. Pros: Clean, safe, very quiet more

Pay no attention to the review by jenshan 2/4/2010

Customer service by Victor, the manager, is above and beyond most other motels around. Vic goes out of his way to accommodate his guests and make them feel welcome. Please ignore the review by jenshan. This person sailed in on a large historic vessel with a bunch of other people and called the motel from town asking if i was willing to trade a room for a few hours of sailing time out on the Columbia River. I agreed to GIVE two people a room for free just to help them out with no intention on going out on the water with them. Their main reason for the room was to use the shower and get off the ship for one evening. She promised me only two people in the room and we agreed. Of course I noticed more and more visitors entering the room over the short time they were here. I told her I was not willing to let the entire crew of many to use my shower since the cost of water is outrageous in the town of Rainier. Basically I put a stop to this before it got out of hand and they got upset with me. Not a problem. I felt they were defrauding the in-keeper. Go figure, a bunch of teenagers that wanted something for nothing. Pros: clean rooms and great service more

inhospitable and creepy 6/19/2009

As we were checking in, the manager lectured us on the fact that the room was rented to only two people, and that he didn't want a whole bunch of our friends to use the showers, as water was very expensive. We assured him that we would comply with the rules, and respect the water issue. That evening, his janitorial staff, which lived across the parking lot, watched our room and reported our comings and goings. He then knocked on our door twice, to check on how many people were in the room, going so far as to enter and check the bathroom. We turned in our key and left without staying the night. Cons: inhospitable, creepy more
