Budget Brakes

This is the worst place you could ever take your car!!! Had new brakes put on a few years ago and honestly they have not worked correctly since. After returning there several times and never getting any satisfaction I just went to a more reputable repair shop and had to have my brakes repaired from where Budget Brakes replaced them. I was then told that my brakes did not work correctly because of all the cheap parts Budget Brakes had put on my car. My brakes are still not like they should be because I cannot afford to undo the damage these people did. My brakes actually were much better before these people ever touched them. If you're smart you wont go there and take the risk of what happened to me. You can ask any other repair shop and they will all tell you they use the cheapest parts on the market. more

Most of you know it is VERY difficult to find a mechanic you can trust. My husband and I are new to Nashville and we were hesitant to begin the search. I looked online for reviews and found some great ones for Budget Brakes. I called in advance and asked what it would cost to change my front brakes. They quoted me $89+change and said I could come right in. I dropped my car off at 12pm and within half an hour, the main mechanic come out and told me that my brakes were totally fine. My car is a 2007 Toyota Yaris and I have never had the brakes changed. My car has about 70,000 miles and I was positive it was time to get new brake pads. The mechanic indicated that I still have 3/4 of the pad left and that I still had a long time to wait until changing them. He offered to show me the brakes so that I could verify what he was saying. They offered to wash/clean the back brakes for a low price, but they let me know that this was not mandatory. They were very upfront and honest about the conditions of my breaks. I was really taken back by the service at this auto shop. Honestly, I came in really protective b/c I am a woman and I have experienced discrimination and shops that have taken advantage of me b/c I am a woman. I really appreciated the fact that the shop was clear from the beginning about their prices, that they were fair and honest, and that they treated me with respect. I also LOVED the fact that I was in and out in less than 30 minutes. I would HIGHLY recommend Budget Brakes on Charlotte Pike in Nashville. I will never take my car anywhere else. more
