Budget Blinds of N. Charleston

I scheduled an estimate for plantation shutters and took off of work to meet the rep. at my home. He never showed up and I never received a phone call. Guess they don't need the business! more

We were confused at first because we heard about Budget Blinds on Highway 17 N. City search lists them on Daniel Island. We called the number and found they had a great showroom on Highway 17 north past Town Center. There are products set up in the showroom so it's easy to decide what they'll look like in our home. The staff was helpful and set up our appointment to come measure and show me a shutter sample. The whole experience was easy and now we're happy with our shutters. it was worth the trip to the showroom and we will recommend them to our friends and neighbors. more

We called many local stores for blinds and shutters. We decided to go with Budget Blinds because the office staff was very friendly and they were priced great. The salesman was very professional and came when our scheduled appointment was. He brought samples of great quality products and was very knowledgable about each product. I changed my mind about the type of shades we wanted and went to the retail center to look at more options. Again, very friendly and helpful.\r \r The installation was timely and looks fantastic. I have recommended them to many friends and family and they have all been pleased. I am very glad that we chose Budget Blinds and plan on using them again. more

We rec'd quotes from three companies on plantation shutters and blinds and ended up using Merv Epstein's company, Budget Blinds. What a mistake. Not only did they install the shutters incorrectly, but owner did not respond to my phone calls to correct the problem. He mounted the shutters incorrectly after we had a lengthy discussion of how we wanted them and then used the cheapest installation hardware that ruined my windowsills permanently. They splintered the wood when they did our internal mounts but luckily, i did not pay for this job in full. When i finally spoke to the owner, he told me to keep the small balance and i never heard from him again. I've since spoken to other budget blind customers and they had similar issues. Whatever you do, it's better to go with a company like Lowe's or Home Depot who stand behind their work and use responsible installers who are answereable to them.
