Love Buckhead! 2/20/2012

We love Buckhead on the River, and until the fire closed it we used to come at least once a month. Of course the view can't be beat and parking is easy, but the food is always great. I love their burgers, steaks and salads, hubby likes the salmon, too. Sure its a little loud, a lot of restaurants are these days and it does have an open bar area in the middle, but I've never not been able to have a pleasant conversation even when visiting with my parents, who also love it here! For dining with a view, the prices cannot be beat and really I think are on par with most restaurants of this type, and those do not have a view! more

Horrible Experience 11/19/2007

It was my first time going to Buckhead's and I must say that I was greatly disappointed. The food was expensive which is to be expected but we spent almost forty dollars and I had my meal taken off the bill. My meal was the fajitas. I have never been to any restaurant mexican or american that has ever served me molded tortillas. The server looked as though he was a little high on life and didn't care less but after I requested a manager he took my molded tortillas back. I had to wait twenty minutes for the server to come over in the first place so I could tell him. The manager was somewhat sympathetic and said she would take it off the bill but I had already ingested one moldy tortilla and a simple sorry left me sad. more

River View 6/27/2004

The food is always good. I've been several times and had everything from hot wings and potato skins to a great steak. Several great salads and sandwiches too. But the thing that seperates this Buckheads to the others in Louisville is the view. If you can get a set by the windows overlooking the river, the scene is breathtaking. With the Louisville skyline and lights set behind the flowing river, it makes the atmosphere of the place. Pros: Food, Parking Cons: , Noisy more
