I run my Hunter Jumper/Dressage Training Business here at Buck Grass Stables and have been incredibly impressed by the high quality of care and attention to my horses and needs of myself and my clients. My clients are exstreamley happy here and I could not imagin getting any better facility or care at any other location, and i have traveled all over the world and the US and i know how hard it is to find a facility as well set up to train and get the most out of your horse no matter what the weather with such great care as well of you and your horse ! Excellent Care, Facilities, and People 3/5/2011

I've had my three horses at Buck Grass Stables since August 2010 and we have been very happy there. The barns, rings, and other facilities are very well maintained. My horses love the grass turn out, and the enclosed barn has been great for the cold weather while it opens up nicely and there are huge fans for summer.\r \r The barn staff are very observant of any issues with the horses. Once when my trainer was off at a show and one of my horses started picking at his food, they quickly noticed it and made sure it wasn't anything serious. When it turned out he had just decided to be picky, Buck tried hand feeding him every feed in the barn to figure out which His Highness was willing to eat, at least until my trainer was back and they could work out a change in the feeding program. Buck and GI (Western trainer and co-barn manager) really know horses and horsemanship, which transcends the type of horse or type of riding. They are also very willing to help, regardless of whether you are their ""client"" or not.\r \r The saddlehorse trainers mentioned by the reviewer below are gone, and have been since sometime before we got there. The trainers there now are Jo Schroeder, who does hunter/jumper and dressage, Andrea Seaman, who does dressage, and of course Buck and GI. Buck has a few saddlehorses that he trains, but they are no problem at all to us dressage and H/J types. It has been educational to watch the different types of horses and types of training, and we all learn from each other. Most importantly, there is a great deal of respect among all the trainers using the facilities. It's just a really nice place for both horses and people to be and to learn. more

A superb horse farm 7/8/2010

We have boarded our horses at Buck Grass Stables for many years, and we couldn't be happier. Beautifully maintained, always immaculate, it offers everything a horse or his owner could want--roomy stalls with floor mats, automatic waterers, a fly spray system, covered arena, outdoor arena, and two covered round pens, with a covered hot walker. Oh, and a great client lounge that looks out onto the arena! Basically, once you get out of your car, you don't have to worry about the weather, as it's all under roof. Grassy turnout paddocks are board fenced, as are the pastures. These people know and love horses and care about their welfare and use the best veterinarians and farriers around! We LOVE it there! Pros: Heaven for horses and their owners more

An outstanding equestrian facility 1/30/2010

A unique and lovely equestrian facility located in Magnolia, Texas, just north of Houston. The farm has stabling for 60 horses, including a 40 stall show barn and a 20 stall mare barn, along with board fenced pastures surrounding the property. The covered arena has superb footing, and there are two covered round pens, along with a covered hot walker. As a client, I like the lounge, which is complete with fireplace, TV and comfortable sofas, enjoyable for waiting while daughter has her lessons. The owner is extremely knowledgeable, with a lifetime of experience, and his caring and concern, along with that of the staff, shows throughout the facility. Happy horses, happy boarders, happy clients, our horses love it there, so do we. Pros: Exceptional horse care more

Appearances vs Reality 1/26/2009

The appearance are that of a high-end barn and you would expect that given the board - but dont count on being able to ride your horse there. Arena time is monopolized by saddlebred trainers who have their teenage students lesson on their clients horses. If you enjoy riding while plastic bags are shaken and fireworks set off then this is the place for you. Pros: Covered Arena and Roundpen Cons: You cant use them most of the time more
