Italian Dinner... Sopranos Style!! 5/4/2009

When I ate at Buca Di Beppo, it felt to me like a scene straight out of The Sopranos. They have great Italian food which is always more than you can eat. I always end up taking it to go. Pros: Authentic Italian Food Cons: Nothing really more

A hearty restaurant 6/18/2002

When you walk into the restaurant, you'll notice the decor on the wall immediately. The atmosphere is fun & festive, and the waiters are friendly but could be a little too cheery. The portions are HUGE. We ordered 2 appetizers and 4 dishes for 10 people! I recommend the garlic bread and the bruscetta. The thing is, don't expect to have a decent conversation here. It's too loud and you'll have to shout to be heard. Pros: Hearty portions Cons: Too loud more

Sensory Overload 5/15/2002

This place is over the top. The food is very salty, the servers are hyper-active, but worst of all is that terribly annoying tape loop of two men arguing in Italian that plays over and over in the bathrooms. That (and the giant glass of chianti) made my head--and stomach--start to spin. Pros: good for parties Cons: utter chaos more

Great for big groups and kids 5/14/2002

Very loud, fun atmosphere here. The food is served family-style, so the portions are enough for 4 or more people. There is one table in the kitchen for those that want to be close to the chef. I recommend the chicken parmagiana, a delicious, lightly-sauced entree. The green beans are worth ordering, very fresh and bright green. The large order of spaghetti with meatballs is enough for a small army. I've also enjoyed the ravioli. Wine is inexpensive and served in a tall drinking glass. For dessert, I recommend the tiramisu, which is served in a bowl. Pros: party atmoshpere, tasty food more
