We have been fans of Buca since it first opened. But I am sad to say that the quality has slipped and the Buca-To-Go service is getting really bad. The last two times we ordered food for pick-up, it took much longer than we were told (last night I waited in the parking lot an additional 25 minutes beyond the promised time) and when we got the bags home, something was always missing.\r
A few months ago, we ordered three entrees, salad, two garlic mozzarella bread, and desserts for six people. When we got home, the garlic bread and desserts were missing.\r
Last night we ordered enough for eight people and two large entrees and an appetizer were missing.\r
Granted, after calling back, each time the manager apologized, had the items delivered to us, and provided us with $30.00 in coupons. But that still left us waiting around for nearly a half an hour before we could start dinner.\r
I still love the Eggplant Parmigiana, Chicken Saltimboca and the Antipasto Salad. But the Alfredo sauce has lost its zip and the Garlic Mozzarella bread is not nearly as good as it used to be.\r
So, to avoid disappointment, make sure you have your full order before you leave and choose your items wisely.
Pros: Many of the food items are still quite good.
Cons: Careful when you utilize Buca-To-Go. Parking on weekends can be a mess.
