Bad service, such a dissapointment 12/30/2008

Went to Buca for my 25th birthday after a really rough year. Wanted to go somewhere nice, never have been let down before. DO NOT get served by MICHAEL. Even though we had been before, he gave us the tour of the kitchen. When we ordered drinks, I pointed out that it was my birthday, and he commented that it was everyone's birthday in this particular room. He kept winking at my boyfriend throughout the meal. Was not very attentive. Never asked if we wanted more drinks. Sang Happy Birthday and gave cake to the other two tables in the room. Gave us the check and nothing else. Food was good as usual, service really sucked. Reported our experience to the front counter and they tried to make up for it by giving us cake and a gift card. We were planning on returning for a graduation, but now we will be seeking other plans. Buca really let us down. They need to be more discerning when hiring wait staff. Excellent Italian dishes and veal marsala 9/18/2007

We have lunch or dinner occasionally at Buca de Bepo at the Florida Mall, and have never been disappointed by the quality and quantity. It is old Italian cooking, family style. the portions are normally for two people but they have single portions at lunch. I love veal marsala which used to be on the menu but was not a big seller. However, they can still make it for you because they use veal for other dishes and sell chicken marsala. The prices are competitive with other local restaurants of lesser quality. Pros: Very old Italy, Catholic ambience Cons: Florida Mall does not have sufficient signs in the Mall directing you to Buca de Beppo more

This place is a fun filled place with all the pictures on the wall. Kids love the fact that you get to go thru the kitchen. The food is outstanding and the amount of food well let's just there is enought to feed a small army. Pros: Ambience Cons: Too full to do anything else after leaving more

can not say enough about this resaurant. The service, ambience and food are above superior. And the price will shock you on how inexpensive it is. Pros: One of the BEST restaurants in Orlando!!! you can even dine inside the kitchen!!! Cons: If you don't make a reservation, you can posibly wait a while but WELL worth the wait. more

The atmosphere is a bit loud and overwhelming, but fun! Good place to take the kids without worrying about them keeping quiet. Pros: great food, good service, fun! Cons: , sides are a la carte more

Absoltely Fantastic! 7/11/2003

I can't imagine anyone giving this restaurant a bad review. My husband, 6 year old son and I went last night for my birthday and sat at the table in the kitchen. That was our first experience of that kind (sitting in the restaurant kitchen) and our first time at this restaurant. It was so much fun. The food was absolutely wonderful and the portions were more than generous; we had enough for our supper tonight too and still had leftovers! All the employees were very friendly and entertaining. It was a great experience sitting in the kitchen; we highly recommend that. We can't wait to go again and take others with us next time. Pros: Fun, Great food, Generous portions Cons: None more

Our first visit was a learning experience. Alot of food! Really superior food! Our second visit was better than the first. We knew what to expect. And yes, by all means, take doggie bags. They are truely worth it more

Yummy food in great quantities but whoa baby, lots of garlic. Fun atmosphere, lots of stuff to look at. Prices are ok. Wasn't happy with not getting bread or a salad with the meal and having to order them separately but pretty fun place all in all. more

We went here to celebrate a Birthday with a group of 10 people and had fun. This place is VERY loud and if the wrong group is in you'd better bring your exedrin migrane! Luckily there was only a wedding dinner and a swim team in when we went... definitely not a place for a dinner for 2, or 3, or probably even 4. Bring ALL of you friends for a wild and crazy dinner experience - but don't expect the food to be great... it's only mediocre. My family and I could not believe we have not visited Buca before! From the moment we we arrived we felt like we were in Italy. The service, food, atmosphere, and wine we unbelivable. We are very excited they are opening a new Buca di Beppo in the Florida mall! Pros: great for familes, great wine, huge portions more

Terrible Terrible Terrible. Might as well eat at Pizza Hut. We ate on a Saturday night. We had reservations but still had to wait. After we were seated and the food arrived everyone was extremely disappointed. THe sauce tasted like tomato paste. Sorry I wasted the time and money. During the meal, we listened to a LaCrosse team shout team songs that were so inaapropriate that the waiteres were embassed. Pros: location Cons: bad food, loud, cramped more

Absolutely Ridiculous 7/14/2002

I just got home. I still have to use the bathroom, but that can wait. I need to write this review before any of my thougths even begin to fade. This place was astounding. The food was so good it was ridiculous. I can't even believe how amazing the garlic bread was... more like a garlic pizza. The decor was so interesting that I paused often during my penne and prosciutto salad, baffled by all there was to look at. Dinner for 8: $120. Anyone who writes a bad review for this place either owns a competitior Italian restaurant, or is trying to keep this place a secret.
