Bubba Gump Shrimp

Went there about 4 years ago and the service was so bad that I don't have the desire to go back and see if things have changed or even try the new location in SF. \r \r My husband and I wanted to treat my brother and his wife who came to visit from out of state and the issues began the moment we entered.\r \r It was a rainy weekday afternoon so it was almost empty but we couldn't find anyone to seat us for about 10 minutes and that was only when we kindly called out.\r \r Then, the entire time we were there, the waiter wouldn't take his eyes off of my sister-in-law's chest who was breastfeeding. She had her chest covered with a blanket the entire time but he still shamelessly tried to look over the cover the whole time, literally.\r \r Our food took about 40 minutes to come out. I ordered shrimp over rice (which was suppose to be served hot) but the shrimp was so cold, that it felt like it came straight from the fridge. \r \r Lastly, when we were ready to leave, the waiter handed my brother the check assuming he was going to pay. Very rude! Of course he didn't get a tip. more

Our food came out on time and was prepared just right. I would recommend this place to a hungry person the portions are huge! Service as ok but the food made up for it! I more

it's all about the theme. the food is frozen, not fresh at all. entertaining, but not the place to eat. more

Bubba Gumps keeps being our choice for a fun apmosphere and great prices. The food is very predictable ( which we love) and the noise level is LOUD- but we love this place. We always get a Bucket of Trash ( don't ask- just order it) and the spicy peel and eat shrimp. We wait for a window table and always have fun. We are returning to Monterey this week to cerebrate my husbands birthday and I cannot wait to embarass the stuffing out of him when the Bubba Bunch make him get up and sing to him!! Where else but on the historic Cannery Row would you find a place like this.. I have been to Bubba Gumps about four times and have always had a good expierance. At times there is a wait and yes it is a little loud, so if you are looking for a quiet romantic spot Bubba Gumps not for you... Bubba Gump's is one of my favorite restaurants at Monterey. It is also a walking distance from the Aquarium. The food is always great and location is beautiful. I went there one tme during the night and we had gotten a window seat. I went to go look at the water and it was sooooo pretty........ I think the waiters are very nice and quick. I would definitly come here again! more

Food was good and the view was great. Coming a liitle early for lunch was key, as we avoided the crowds and had a window seat. more

I can't remember what my husband and I had to eat here, but there were no complaints, it was good. The ambience was fun and enjoyable. Although we're not usually social outgoing people, we had fun trying to answer the trivia questions from the movie Forrest Gump. We sat outside and the view was beautiful. more

Great location on Cannery row, crowded and can be noisy. Nice choice of food, prices are resonable. Service is very good. View of Monterey Bay wonderful, very romantic. Best place to eat on Cannery Row with ocean view. Pros: View, Great Value for $, Location Cons: , Parking, Crowded at times more
