Great place North of Boston 3/9/2011

This is a great place for a fabulous meal - the staff is top notch - the service exceptional - and the food delish! Everything is prepared fresh and to your liking. Good selection of appetisers as well. No need to drive into Boston when we have Brutole right here in the North Shore! If you dont want a big meal hang at the bar for a pizza and salad!! more

the big myth!!!!! 2/21/2011

the myth that the burbs are better value than the city is a lie!! right off the bat at the bar they had the gall to charge $17.00 for a 1 shot measered martini!!! the bartender spun that vodka in the ice for a good 2 min to melt the ice enough to fill a martini glass!!! sure you pay $13-$15 for the same drink in boston but it is 5 times the vodka in boston!!! also the food was not fresh(old fish) and again $24-$49 a plate food in danvers? it was not worth a 3rd of the price !!!a total ripoff and will never go back again!!! more

Great Food, Great Service 2/16/2010

The place was very nice. Had a decent menu, had the Roasted chicken. Was seated within 5 minutes and wait staff was very friendly and gave us plenty of time to chat and ignore our menus. Very helpful on wine suggestions and didn't feel like it was overpriced. Only downside was I passed it on the way up and had to loop all the way around to get back there. There's no road sign so unless you're using GPS, you might miss it. Pros: Good Food, Good Service, Friendly Staff Cons: Hard to find, No Signage, Menu seemed limited more

North Shore's Hidden Jewel 5/10/2006

Eat there often...Great service and great food. Highly recommed the Sea Bass, Filet, and lobster ravs... I enjoy the fact you can usually get in there at any time/night without a reservation...Don't let that fool you! The food is great! more

Think Again - Not bad but not worth it. 7/25/2005

Based on the previous review, which I should have noticed was written in 2002, I went to this place. It now only goes by Brutole. There was only one microbrew on tap. Not my idea of a brew house. And the food is not bad, and the service is not bad. But it's overpriced for what it is. The menu was limited and was plain Italian fare. My local Italian eattery had by far a much menu for half the cost. I felt a bit cheated that I went out of my way to ""try something new"" and found it quite boring. more

Secret On The North Shore 12/27/2002

Brutole has become by far my favorite restaurant. The atmosphere, service, and the food is top notch without top notch prices. Every item is prepared fresh and you are never rushed. I once was asked to wait a few extra minutes due to the restaurant being very busy and the chef wanted to be sure not to fall behind and not dedicate as much time to each order. The wait staff is very well versed, extremely polite and knowledgeable. The filet mignon with red wine sauce is delicious and my wifes favorite is the butternut squash tortelli. Honestly everything from the cornmeal crusted scallops appetizers to the freshly made, (when ordered) warm fallen chocolate cake. If your looking for a great night with great food and atmosphere I recommend Brutole over all others. more
