We love Brownsburg Academy! Our baby girl attends this daycare and we feel confident every day leaving her in their care. The facility is clean and bright and the staff is a mixture of young and wise that all truely care for the little one. Highly recommend! more

This is the worse daycare in town. Do not send your children here. I was told never to come back, after my daughter told me that one of the teachers (Ms. Sammy) choked her. The owner never offered to find out what happened or to do an investigation. She did not care at all that this incident happened at her business. The facility is very poorly managed. My daughter would bring home ""projects"" on donated paper from other businesses. I could tell, because there was used on the other side and not by my daughter. I never saw my child come home with any learning material. The staffing is terrible. The are extremely rude. This includes the director Patty and the owner Jodee. I was never able to talk to the teachers that were there during the day. The pick-up staff was generally teenagers that were not properly watching the child and could not tell me what happened during the day. If an incident happened during the day, no one in the facility could tell me what happened. The form of disciple they use is to yell at the children. The food that they provide to the children is extremely poor quality and not enough quality. I talked to an ex-employee from Brownsburg Academy that said she started to bring in food, because the school did not provide the children enough to eat. The snacks that they give are generally sugary and not nutritious. They also provide the children with too much juice and not enough water. I would not be surprise if a child were to die at this facility. If you put your children in this daycare, then you will put them at serious risk. I wish the state would come in and shut them down, because it is stealing from the community by charging high rates with the lowest quality in town. Save your money and your time and DO NOT TRY IT. \r \r In a more recent development, the Fire Marshall (who is the husband of the owner of Brownsburg Academy) has been going around to other daycares and tries to get them shut down in order to get his wife more business. I would rather quit my job and go on welfare before I would ever send my daughter to that daycare again.\r more

I was recently laid off from this company . When i was hired on I was told I had a full time position. That was a complete lie. I was only their for a week until i received a phone call from the director Patty. I was told that "" I thought we had a full time position but I was wrong"". These were her exact words to me. Not only was that completely unprofessional but that was totally out of line considering I had already had another job and Patty made me change my hours to accommodate their schedule. That was not my only concern. On my very first day she didn't even bother to give me a tour of the place she just stuck me in a room full of kids. Not only that I never filled out tax forms or anything to receive a pay check which should be done your very first day. To put the icing on the cake Patty never even gave me a background check or received documents from me proving that I had cpr or first aid and those things are required. Which raises the question, what kind of people do they hire around small children? For all they knew I very well could have been a child molester. During my short time there I noticed inconsistency and the people hired there were in and out. Just a flat out MESS if you ask me . Patty is VERY RUDE and inconsiderate, even though she is only the directer Jodee (the owner) should consider some one else or this place should be completely shut down. I wouldn't recommend this for employment or child care ! beware dont even step foot into this place. more

Great experience 4/19/2012

I've been bringing my child there for four years. I've had a nice experience. They are always making improvements to the classrooms and have some really great teachers. My daughter has learned so much by being there. more

This daycare sucks!!! 8/31/2011

This daycare really sucks! I just recently quit, and i still have not received my paycheck. People come and go and I half the time i would hardly get any hours at all. Even though i have asked numerous times for more hours. I was hired in May of 2010 with the understanding that i was going to be full time. That was a HUGE joke! I never knew what time i was going in or what time i was getting off, and i asked what time i was getting off and all they said was they didn't know. So i had no way in knowing what my hours really were so i could not schedule any doctors appointments without making anybody mad because they didn't have enough notice ahead of time. I WOULD NOT recommend this child care facility for any employment and/or child care services. more

Beware of the Daycare 2/5/2009

As a parent I ws looking for an acceptable day care to provide care for my daughter. So not knowning the area of Brownsburg I choose Brownsburg Academy as a provider for my daughter. Patty the manager in charge seemed very nice and really wanting my daughter to be a part of the day care. So I put my daughter into her care. After about 3 months I was wondering who her teacher was, one day some lady would be in the class and the next day someone else. I talked to one of the employees and she told me that employees come and go. I was kinda worried about that so I got to asking more questions and found out that one day they had a fire drill and all the children were taking outside by the crub and in the infant room they had put 6 babies in one crib. The teacher pushing the crib went into a hole in the ground and the crib broke and all the babies landed on the hard ground. After the fire drill was over Patty was talking to herself and said that she was so upset know because she had to buy a new crib and she could care less about the babies falling to the ground. The employee said that she was sure that Patty did not tell the parents about the accident. That day I took my daughter out of there care and never looked back. Cons: management more
