This is one of the best vet services around. 12/20/2011

I am so happy to have found this vet clinic. They are reasonable priced and do great work. We drive down from Charlotte, because the vets are so high priced in Charlotte we can no longer afford to go to them here, So we take the trip to Polkton and see Dr Wright. We have several other family members that are very happy with their services also. If you have a pet and need a vet I highly suggest this place. I would rate them 10 stars if I could. more

Former employee....I highly recommend this clinic!! 11/19/2008

I just happened to stumble across these reviews after looking for some other things on vet clinics and I couldn't help but be alarmed at a few of the comments. After reading the comment left by the ""former employee"" I just couldn't help but to leave a comment myself. I myself am a former employee of BCAH and have nothing but good things to say about the place. I worked in all areas of the clinic...kennels, surgery, exam rooms, and reception area. So I have had the full Brown Creek experience! As far as the staff not being certified, most of the people there have been working in vet clinics for over a decade if that is not experience I don't know what is! They definitely know what they are doing, and most importantly care about the animals. And in regards to the animals being chased by brooms and mops...I don't know what you did while you worked at BCAH but that has NEVER occurred in my presence, and as I said I have worked in all areas. If we feel that a dog/cat is threatening to our safety (which means it is extremely, extremely out of control) we must for safety purposes take the proper precautions to contain the animal. Which I can guarantee you does not include chasing it with a broom or mop. The only thing that gets chased with brooms or mops is the outrageous amount of dog hair that is cleaned up everyday at lunch time and at closing! Dr. Wright urges his staff to care for each animal as if it were their own...which is what they try very hard to do. There most of the time is a wait, but if you schedule and appointment and arrive a few minutes early they try to get you in a room and seen by a vet in a timely fashion. But at the same time you have to understand, they are a full functioning hospital which means there are constantly surgeries, appointments, emergencies, and everyday care going on all at once. So to only have 2 doctors, sometimes 1, and the number of staff members they do it flows pretty smoothly. Pros: Great staff & great Doctors Cons: Sometimes a wait...but be understanding! more

Great Veterinary Care! 7/26/2008

Brown Creek Animal Hospital was recommended to us by a long time friend who has taken her dogs to the practice for years. She had only good experiences at Brown Creek. We found the same excellent care there for our own dog. Our dog is a very sensitive Australian Shepherd who would not have taken to rough treatment at all! And she was there for most of the day with the staff who must have treated her very well. Our dog was in excellent shape when we picked her up from her teeth cleaning procedure. The staff even helped us out to the car with our dog as I had two very small children with me. Believe me, I really appreciated this level of care. Our dog was held for me while I buckled in my children and then I was able to carefully load my dog rather than having to ask my dog to jump up inside our SUV by herself as would have been the case without the kind assistance. I have taken a lot of dogs to a lot of vets over the years and I have to say I felt very secure with leaving my dog at this practice and was very pleased with her care. This Doctor charges very reasonable prices as well, which I like to think is a good way to make sure the animals get the care he prescribes rather than have to pick and choose based on finances. Our family lives a long way from Brown Creek Animal Hospital, but it is worth the drive to make sure our dog gets the great care they provide. Pros: Great care at prices we really appreciate more

Brown Creek Animal Hospital 4/27/2008

Dr Wright has been seeing my poodle, Nina, for a year and a half. He diagnosed her with a grade 5 heart murmur, undiagnosed by her previous vet. Put her on enalapril and she did well. A little cough every now and then, nothing to be alarmed about, he said this would happen. But this past Feb she began coughing so bad that she couldn't rest, I took her back to Wright and he put her on lasix. I asked him then, ""how much time does she have"", he said maybe a year or two. Well, she has become progresivly worse since then. more

Best Around 2/21/2008

Great vet. Great staff. Whoever made the previous statement obviously didn't care about the well being of their animal, but rather the paper involved. Ask about how long some of the Vet Tech's have been doing that job? Many have had a similar job in a Vet clinic before Dr. Wright was out of college. He is a great vet, and his staff is wonderful also. They have the most sanitary workplace of any vet, and nice kennels. The wait is sometimes extreme, but its because they are very thorough with all animals. Once you are seen, you get their full, undivided attention. If all one has to gripe about is paper certification, then that shows that there is nothing at all wrong with Brown Creek Animal Hospital. Pros: Great staff all around Cons: Just the wait, but its worth it. more

Best around!!! 2/17/2008

Cannot say anything bad about this place!! You will have to wait, but it is well worth it, staff are all HIGHLY trained and professional, many have been there as long as the place has been open, I have been going there for five years, They treat me as if I am the only one there, no matter how busy they are..it is a busy place..Doctor Wright is Great! I had been to numerous vets with one dog , after spending loads of money, he diagnosed the problem!!! Cant say enough!! Pros: best service Cons: a wait more

If You Dont Mind Someone Other Than A Doctor Treating Your Animal! 10/1/2007

Dr. Wright & Severt are great vets but their so called vet techs are not even registered or certified. Maybe only 1 out of the 4 or 5 that pose as one! And the boarding facility is really nice and new but your dog may get chased with a broom or mop... Every dog is treated as if it is mean or the worst dog there. That?s why the prices are as low as they are because your services are by minimum wage employees, with out proper education or knowledge of dog care and handling. This is coming from a former employee! Pros: Great Doctors Cons: Non Certified Staff more
