Go for the Oatmeal! 6/20/2006

I have been here a handful of times for breakfast. Everything I have had has been good, but the oatmeal is delicious! Now, everytime I go I order the Oatmeal. It also comes with two peices of fresh homemade bread that is fantastic. more

Never again 11/14/2005

Came in on a Sunday afternoon and from the start the customer service was TERRIBLE. We sat down within 10 minutes which was good however our waiter provided terrible service. He took our order, no greeting whatsoever. We waited over an hour before our food came out and in the meantime those seated after us, had been served and left before our food even came out. Our waiter not once checked on us to see how everything was or if we needed anything. When we asked why our order was taking so long his response was a sarcastic ""I'm sorry"". Wouldn't recommend the place to anyone. Pros: Huge portions Cons: Terrible service more

A horrible Sunday morning!! 7/24/2005

My family and I went there for a late Sunday morning breakfast. We walked in and were standing there for at least five minutes without even a hello from any employees, even though the hostess stared at me at least three times. I was giving them the benefit of the doubt even though there was no one waiting. But then to my complete disbelief a couple walked in and the hostess said ""Table For Two?"" I got up to give her a piece of my mind but was stopped by my finance asking for the manager. Then the cashier said "" Would you like to be put on the waiting list?"" Then the ""Manager"" just stood there and stared at us like we were stupid as we explained the situation. She then did nothing. No offers for a discount or a free meal or even an apology. A horrible experience! Pros: good size portions Cons: horrible customer ser more

Worth the wait? 9/5/2003

Okay food but not worth the wait - at least for Sunday brunch. We've been there twice Sunday morning and left exasperated by the delay and chaos. And the overworked servers don't make u for it, either. Food's not bad and the portions are huge. Try a time other than Sunday brunch hours. Pros: portions, food quality Cons: no "kid" stuff, long wait, harried service more

Kirkland location is a MISS 5/4/2003

Went to have breakfast on the recommendation of a friend (who actually suggested the Redmond location). 10 minute wait for a table at 10AM on Sunday which is pretty good. As we were waiting 10+minutes to place our order another angry patron left w/o paying for his beverage. We finally placed our order and waited 40 minutes for it to appear. Others seated at the same time had eaten and left before our food arrived. Many others were angrily waiting as well. Once food did arrive it was overcooked and cold. We sent back one plate and asked the waitress to take it off our bill (we weren't waiting for another cold 40 min meal.) Never got water refill or coffee after that. Took her another 20 min to return with the new check! This location is NOT worth the wait! Cons: POOR service, cold food more

Come with an empty stomach! 4/1/2003

Portions at Brown Bag are out of control! Bring your friends, and an empty stomach, or you won't be able to enjoy all the cafe has to offer. Breakfast is the best option; although lunch is also good. The cinnamon roll French toast is thick and sweet -- a real treat. Breads are baked on site. The apple sausage links are another speciality. For those watching their weight, try the oatmeal or a simple combo of a single pancake, egg, and bacon/sausage. Or share a meal. Each morning also features a selection of daily specials, usually including omelettes, scrambles, fruit-stuffed pancakes, etc. Pros: Good value, Generous portions, Tasty selections Cons: Crowded, Long waits, Slow service more
