I do not have kids in the court system thank God. I have witnessed a four year old boy being given custody to his mother because Judge Pines refused to look at her record. I have seen him violate people’s rights repeatedly. This little boy’s mother had 4 children all different fathers. She has one son who has cigarette burns and other scars all over his body. Another son with mental health issues because she gives her kids alcohol and drugs to make him sleep while she parties with her friends. A daughter who lives with the grandmother she never took to the doctors and left locked in a room for hours when she went to the bar. Now judge Pines lets this little 4-year-old boy live with her. He is not even potty trained. The grandparents want custody and filed emergency custody. Where is the child? Still with the mother. Read the report Mr. Pines! This woman has kids to get welfare money. She has been in trouble for fraud several times and all her children are either living with grandparents or the father. If this little boy dies, it is your fault. She has no heat and the boy is sleeping on the floor. He has lost 8 pounds since you let her keep custody. I will make this public to protect the child and I am not related to this case. Step down Mr. Pines cause this girl will not see any child abused because you can’t do your job and I hope everyone will repost this until this little boy’s life is no longer in danger. more

My beef is with is with the two judges listed above. For one, Charnetsky loves to place kids back with abusive parents. I know of TWO cases that the birth mom regained full custody. And the one mother broke her sons arm, and left the younger two alone so she could go shopping in Buffalo with her boyfriend! Eberz, he is just an jerkfaced loser who needs to look at BOTH sides of the story. more

Years ago....My female friend lost custody of her son to her x. The X was NOT a good father. Why did she loose? Because others teamed up against her and said she attacked someone else. Hum (crack addicts sticking together, lol). I know the witnesses, and all of them combined, dont have the integrity that the woman has (One has a physical problem that causes mentional problems and the other is a crack dealer.). I think she has a right to be angry. Who has her son now? She does. The son admits his father was bad, and they do not talk anymore. ug.\r It was a way for the dad to avoid paying any support, and even when her son moved back with her, she was still paying the X support (lol). more

You no I cant help but to say that people really need to grow up! I am a mother of 2 and I amn not with my oldest daughters father but we always said this even before we broke up just so we had it clear if were to ever happen ""JUST BECAUSE A CHILD IS FROM A BROKEN HOME DOESN'T MEAN THEY HAVE TO BE BROKEN!!"" Children do not want to hear there parents fighting all the time they dont want to feel the tensen when you are in the same room togethere they dont want to have to pick who they have to be loyal to so they dont hurt you and as adults we shouldnt make them feel this way! I mean honestly you really cant put your feelings aside your hate for each other (and trust me there is plenty of that between the two of us) to be able to be the ones that decied your childs fate you would rather put your childs fate into the hands of a stranger who dont go home and even think of you or your kids once! Well if thats your case then you get what you get and really have no room to say anything more

Very fair court. Doesn't give the women what they want only because the are women, (which is the way many courts have been run and still are run) they look at the situation and make a decision that is in the best interest of the one who matters most and i am not talking about the people that are reading this review. Some people should have custody over the other and they can recognize the que's. Finally, we have progressed to a society that men can be the single parent. The reason people are in this system is because they screwed up, don't blame the system only because you don't get your way. Look into yourself and see why you are where you are. My experience in Broome County Family Court has been anything but fair and impartial. The Judge I went before, although hearing all the testimony and knowing how wrong this is, decided to split my children up and gave custody of my youngest Son to his father all because this man wore a Military uniform to court. No matter that he is a disgrace to the Uniform, has never paid child support, has signed off rights to his first 2 kids, left the 5th one behind when he left his 3rd wife to take up with her best friend and made it very clear he only cares about 1 of my children, he still gets custody of 1. I think this Judge keeps his personal feelings or beliefs out of the court room and has made that clear by his recent review. So, onward I fight to keep my boys together and safe at home. It's disgusting and disturbing how drunk with power this man is and what he has the right to do to someones family. 3 words describe this man, Unfair, Unjust and corrupt, period.
