Horrible manners and incompetent telephone skills on top of being pompous and rude.For your families sake do not count on this man to help you. Instead he will refer you to your family pediatrician.This is the wrong ""doctor"" to have answer telephones when you have an after hours emergency. more

Very Disappointed 6/15/2011

I have been a patient of Dr. Duff for years. I recently took a job in California and moved there from TN. As a result, my insurance changed. When I attempted to fill my medication prescribed by Dr. Duff, the pharmacy informed me that my new insurance company requires prior authorization and Dr. Duff's office would need to request this. I left a voicemail for Dr. Duff and staff and received a response from her office informing me that they will not do this for me. They further stated that I would need to find another doctor. I asked why and the woman told me that since they don't have my new insurance information, they are not even sure if they are a provider under my new plan. I offered to give my insurance information and find out if they are a plan provider and the woman told me that they still would not help me. Well, that makes no sense. Meanwhile, I am waiting for my appointment to get established with a new doctor in California, but anyone who is a patient anywhere, knows that you don't get a new patient appointment right away! I was scheduled > 1 month out! So I get to go without my medication for more than a month. Great patient care!\r Again, I have been a patient of Chattanooga Family Practice for years and this is the thanks I get? Nice. more

I have found Dr. Hartsfield to be an excellent physician. I have been going to him since Dr. Royal retired. The staff at the Chattanooga Family Practice are very friendly and helpful and I have never had any test results delayed in getting to me. They are a GREAT staff and doctor. Dr. Lord has been my doctor for over 10 years and I have never had a complaint . He takes care of me and knows my medical history. If I need an appointment I have never had a problem, and if doctor Lord is not in one of his associates will see me. The staff has been really helpful when I needed information or need a refill. When I call the phones may be busy for a minute or two and then they are there. My doctor is located in just the right place because if I need to go anywhere in Chattanooga, or Fort Oglethorpe it takes minutes. more

incompetent staff 11/7/2008

Dr Hartsfield is my doctor. He is excellent! I have been seeing him over 20 years. He listens to problems and concerns, and explains things in terms that I can understand, and he's not afraid of giving samples of the medications that he is going to prescribe. However, since the office has changed from Galen to CFP, it is extremely hard to get an appointment. The staff rarely answers the phone, when/if they do, they are rude. If you go to the office to make an appt, they act like you are disturbing them. The front desk people weren't exactly friendly when they were with Galen, but they seem to have gotten worse. It takes forever for anyone to return a call. Forever to get test results. I hate to find a new doc, because I love Dr Hartsfield. He knows my entire medical history, everything, I hate to go start over again with a new doctor, but the staff is so incompetent and it's SO hard to get an appointment, I think I'm going to have to start looking for a new one. Incompetent Office Staff 9/16/2008

Dr. Duff, my primary care physician at this office, is knowledgable and caring. However, getting to see her is very difficult. You must wait weeks or months for an appointment and the people who do the scheduling do not know what they are doing. My wife almost died of pneumonia last year becuase she could not get in to see the doctor. I was also given the wrong information about vaccinations recently and wasted time off from work only to find out the office did not supply the services I needed when I was told over the phone the month before that they did.\r \r I am looking for another doctor!!!!!!!
