Broiler Steak House

Agree totaly with review of 10/12/09. Had been going to Broiler for almost my whole life. Used to be really good. Unfortunately not anymore. Always seem to make us wait even if we have reservations. Probably so we buy an overpriced drink. Used to get nice sized potato, now super small. Last time I was there, lettuce in salad was old and starting to brown. Used to go to the Broiler once or twice per month. However, haven't been in over a year and have no plans to go back. We had not eaten there for at least 7 years & it used to be a first-class restaurant but it has really gone downhill. Terrible over-priced drink from bar, house carafe wine bitter, bread not even served until after soup. Finally got drink also after soup course. Slow service. The salad was soggy, with fake bacon cubes mixed into it served in a big melmac plastic bowl with premixed dressing. Used to be that dressings were presented at table in serving dishes. French bread cheap frozen loaves. Baked potato small, used to be nice-sized Russets, before they brought to the table tray with sour cream, chives & bacon bits, now they pass little plastic dishes with low quality sour cream, nothing else. End-cut prime rib used to be delicious flavor, melt-in-your-mouth good, this time it was pretty much flavorless and tough and stringy to boot. Waitress service more suited to truck-stop than dinner steak house. Really a shame, oh & they used to serve a nice antipasto plate when you sat down along with REAL French bread; now you get a package of 2 saltine crackers with the soup. They even cut the horseradish with something, wow, oh and it was in a paper cup on plate, lovely, not. Pros: Smells good when your outside restaurant of steak cooking. On the Broiler Steak House review I feel in order to give us a horriable reveiw it would be the right thing to do is let the establishment know about your horrible experience. Give us a chance to see what actually happen. Depending on your timing there could of a good reason for the wait. We accept reservation and depending on the day of the week the hour of the day there can be a wait. The reason can be for different reasons. We have shorter crews on duty.We open our restraunt at 4:oopm until 10:00pm Mon-Thurs. 4:00pm until 11:00pm Fri.-Sat. and 3:00pm-10:00pm on Sun. We have a shorter crew on for Mon.-Fri. for 2hrs. on Sat.&Sun. for 1hr. So if everyone is busy we hold them up in our lounge so we can put them is a station where the can get the fasts service and if there a problem with the food we try to fix the problem to everyone satifaction. We have a very busy restraunt. We also have very good food. Pros: In a local daily journal we won Best place to take a date, family get togethers, banquets Cons: We are not open for lunch. we servr to much food more

The hostess asked how many and we said four...even though there were numerous tables available..we had to sit in the lounge for 15 minutes...This had to be the worse food we ever ate. We visited the place on a recommendation..but was sadly disappointed..the seafood was frozen and OLD..overcooked...the steak was tough and NOT cooked to our specifications...the dining room was pleasant...and our waitress was attentive..but the overall experience was AWFUL Cons: LOUSY FOOD more
