Broadway Medical Clinic, LLP

Dr. DeSimone has been my daughters pediatrician for 6 years (until we moved). My daughter listened to her in areas, like taking her antibiotic, where she would usually bang heads with me. I think she is straight forward, kind and earnest. When you get in the room with her she give you her full attention. We only hope we can find and equally caring pediatrician in NY. We have found the other pediatricians at Broadway Medical Center also have wonderful bedside manner as well. more

After a so-so experience with my daughter's first doctor, a not-so-great experience with the second doctor we finally found a great clinic! \r \r I took my daughter for her 2-year check up in August, with Dr. Collins. She is very, very friendly, up-front, open to discussion, really takes time with you and with your little one, and overall seems very invested. I was so impressed and reassured! \r \r Not only that, but I recently had to get my daughter in for a sick visit...when Dr. Collins wasn't available we saw Dr. Heffernan. He was immediately very warm, friendly, listened well. And my daughter LOVED him! She felt very much at ease with him and I felt at ease too. \r \r So far, we haven't had any problems with rude staff...all very friendly. The nurse has gotten back to us in a timely manner when we've left messages, no problems with billing or check in. \r \r Just a great clinic. I feel so relieved to have found a place with staff that we can trust. more

We have been patients for 8 years and although most of the doctors are ok, the scheduling staff is extremely rude and unaccommodating. It is hard enough to balance calendars with kids activities and pediatric visits, but it is extremely frustrating if the scheduling staff at the clinic where you are trying to see a doctor to help your child, makes this all but possible. I would recommend looking for a different pediatrician if you want attention for your child. more

Dr. June Desimone was my son's first pediatrician. He had a rough start in life and was therefore red-flagged for many developmental reasons. Dr. Desimone not did not make me feel reassured, in fact I left almost every appointment crying. She had a tendency to use the worst case description of each issue my son had, never offering that while it could be a negative that it could also be normal for my child and conquerable. Though we went to regularly scheduled well baby visits from birth she never knew my son from visit to visit. \r I hope my experience was singular. Perhaps she just didn't know what to make of a child that couldn't be explained "by the book" but I gladly left her practice when we moved and have since found a pediatrician who is awesome. more

We have been taking our children there since they were born, the staff is very helpful and caring. Dr. Bengston is their Pediatrician and great at what he does, he always takes the time to talk to them and make them feel comfortable. . more

I have been seeing Dr. Simon at Broadway Medical Clinic for two years and I must say I am very dissatisfied. The Doctors and staff can be very dismissive. Earlier this year, I came down with the Chickenpox, after a nurse at the office told me it was okay for me to be near my grandmother while she had shingles. The office schedulers wouldn't get me a same day appointment with anyone, when I suspected I was coming down with the chickenpox and they told me to find an urgent care clinic. If anyone knows a good doctor I am looking for a new one. more

Coming from a single doctor ( who retired) and going to a clinic had me apprehensive. I picked my doctor and have been very thrilled with how courteous everyone is. You do not feel you are being shuffled through. Dr Hrbek is tops with us and we hope she will never retire!! more

dr. vesterguaard is a great doctor. she really cares about the kids and she actually takes time to get to know the family. i feel really happy and satisfied with her, i highly recommened her. i have been going there for 10 years. eversince i had my first child. so she is the doctor for all 3 of my kids and i would never want anyone else to be their doctor. i have moved futher and further anway but i still wouldn't go anywhere else. but waiting to be seen is another story that no one enjoys. more

I found the staff and physicians exceptionally helpful. As a new patient (with new insurance) they were able to see me that day! The large practice, onside lab, xray, and pharmacy mean only one stop. I didn't have to wait for my appointment even though it appeared that they were very busy. more

This was our son's very first appointment. He was only two weeks old and my husband and I were very excited to hear how he was doing. My husband ended up missing the appointment because we had to wait so long. We were there for an hour and a half for a fifteen minute appointment. Dr. Collins made no apology for being so off schedule. The nurses were cold and rude. As an adult I can put up with that kind of atmosphere but it is not what I want for my child's pediatrician. more
