They have guided me through 3 cairn terriers from start to end. I can't tell you how much I love this group. Today, my rescue went for a light grooming thru the vet and he came out a stronger and more confident fellow because of all of them! He hears me think about brushing or scissoring, they knew exactly how to handle. Came home eager to play and be admired. <3 more

I have used BRVC for almost 8 years now. I wouldn't go anywhere else. I can trust ""my"" pets' doctor to give them competent veterinary care and to be sensitive to our needs. I can call up to ask questions and he'll call back promptly; as time allows, but always within the same day. The front desk assistants are helpful and efficient and my pets are happy to visit! Also, when I've needed to board, I've happily boarded here (my pets didn't come back scarred for life!). more

You just can't get any better veterinary care than Dr. Todd Mauldin at Britton Road Veterinary Clinic. He's a great diagnostician and surgeon and is very thorough in answering all my questions/concerns. All pets and pet owners would do well to utilize Dr. Mauldin's talents. I train retrievers professionally and travel between Texas and my home in Alaska and rely on Dr. Mauldin for all my veterinary concerns. more

Wise counsel, compassionate care 1/16/2013

While I was visiting from Austin in 2010, my dog became ill. We went to an emergency clinic that night; the attending vet said it was a stomach virus & sent us home.\r On a friend's recommendation, I saw Dr Henderson the next morning. He recognized the symptoms of an enlarged heart immediately and drained some fluid, which relieved my dog's distress.\r Dr. Henderson gently explained that this would buy some time, maybe a little or maybe a lot, but if the problem returned we should consider euthanasia.\r To reassure us that this was the best route, he took us in the back room and showed us how the tests were conducted, what the results showed, and answered all our questions.\r I left with the impression that Dr. Henderson is really good at what he does, and that he cares about people as well as animals.\r I'm now in OKC again (three years later), and called Dr. Henderson to thank him for his wise counsel and compassionate care. He convinced me it's time to get a new dog; I'm going by to talk more

Rude receptionist 5/3/2012

I can't speak for the DVM's at Britton Road veterinary clinic but the receptionist was very rude when I called to ask for a suggestion on an animal shelter for a small kitten I had found. Your front office staff are often the first people customers come into contact with so you should choose very carefully! Pros: null Cons: null more

Cuoldnt have asked for anything more 9/23/2010

This is the best vet clinic I have ever been to, and I've had pets all my life. We took our cat in for an emergency, and they were on top of things in a second. They were great to him, he's home now and doing better. We expected an emergency bill twice as much as it was. The Doc took his time to explain everything, offered follow-up visits if needed, and just took great care of us all around. They will be our vet for anything we need in the future. more

Britton Road Veterinary Clinic SUCKS 10/17/2009

We took our dog to Britton Road and saw Dr. Henderson for a bee sting on the nose that had swelled slightly and we wanted to make sure it would not get worse and cut off his ability to breathe. \r \r We learned latter that a little Benadryl was all that was needed but Dr. Henderson gave our dog a shot of steroids that cost about $50 - just for the shot. He also gave us pills to give for a week or 10 days, and gave another shot of antibiotics. All for a simple bee sting. The bill was $236 ! If that's not over-treatment -- I don't know what is.\r \r We won't be going back! more

Yasmine, the Snausher (spelled wrong) 11/12/2007

Anyhow, when I owned her I took her here. They're great and they always called me, or mailed me to remind me of her birthday, shots etc. The are very personable, and now that my parents own my dog, and they take her to the same place, they remember Yasmine and love her so much. more
