I'm from New York where I could walk into nearly any store in the garment district and have a competent, friendly staff member listen to what I needed, tour the store with me making intelligent recommendations, and haggle over price. The staff at Britex could take a few lessons. They were surface-friendly - offering assistance at first, but when I described what I needed, just a couple of yards of a specific inexpensive fabric, you'd think I was a leper. At least I was sent to the right floor. I felt like I was immediately categorized as ""small-time"" and not worth the effort. A bad business practice - I'm a big fabric spender who happens to be working on a small project at the moment.
Pros: Selection, organization
Cons: Price, service
