Bristol Club

When my wife and I were looking for a new apartment in the western suburbs, Bristol Club was a leading contender in our search. They offered a nice clubhouse, a great variety of layouts and loft options, convenient location, and some good specials. However, our return visit wasn't as good-- we realized that the loft wasn't really big enough for a home office for two people, the close location came with some sound pollution from the highway, and the "deals" on certain models were there one day and gone the next. As an example, the one bedroom with a den we were looking at changed $300 in price over the course of a month. If you're in on a special, it's hard to go wrong, but if you're looking for stable prices, try Green Trails in Lisle instead. more

When my husband and I were looking for a new home in the Downers Grove area, we seriously considered Bristol Club Apartments. It is a very nice, clean complex right off Maple Avenue. However, it's also right next to 355, so I have to believe that noise can be an issue. Units ranged from quaint one bedroom apartments to loft models with cathedral ceilings, fireplaces, and decks. However, prices range just as much as the living spaces do. In a two-week span of looking at a specific apartment, the price jumped over $300. I know it's mainly a result of the changing market price, but that seems quite dangerous to me if you're thinking about spending more than one year here and might have to renew your contract. Bristol Club is definitely worth a look, but make sure that you find out how long the price you're quoted is valid. more
