My husband and I had the pleasure of spending 2 nights at the Brightwood Inn in October. It is a fabulous country inn that is inside one of the 3 state parks in the area. Our room was called Tortola, named after the island in the Carribean. The room had a tastefully decorated ""elegant"" island feel. The bed was sooooo comfy we, for once, wanted to sleep in. The hot tub was in the bedroom and the bathroom had a two headed shower. The bedroom was very large but with the fireplace it was very cozy. The hot tub had a beautiful view of the park with the leaves in full color. We were on the second floor so no one could see in our room. We had a choice of 2 entrees for breakfast and the food was out of this world fresh and very well made. I would give the presentation 5 stars and the food 5 stars. We were offered an invitation to join the innkeepers for a complimentary appetizer hour on Saturday evening. The apps, like the breakfast, were delightful. Homegrown and homemade. Everything but the cheese and grapes were made by someone from the Inn. The innkeepers John, Jo, Kevin & Sharon could not have been nicer or more helpful. A huge thank you to the 4 of you and we can't wait to see you again.
