Brighter Side

A great place for lunch the sandwiches are good and they aren't stingy on the meat. The location is an old gas station that was converted to a restaurant. Kind of funky and fun. more

Brighter Side is one block fom my office so I can just walk there which is nice. Here's the thing,. The first time you go ther, if you don't know what you're doing, you may feel stupid. They may make you feel a little stupid. If you've ever seen that episode of Seinfeld with the ""Soup Nazzi"", that's kinda how I describe it. You have to quickly write what you want on a bag if its to go or an index card if its for there. But, once you get the hang of the way to order, the food is sooooo worth it! And, it's cheaper than many downtoen sandwich places. You can get a hearty sandwich and a cup of soup, salad or fresh fruit for under $8 bucks. bottom line---as intimidating as my first experience was, I'm a pro now and, the guy at the register is always happy and nice(maybe the owner?). more

This one is confusing, you have to write up your own order once you enter the front and then you have to go around to the back to get your order. I know I have been there a few times and I still don't understand it. The food is ok but not worth the long wait and the tour through the maze. more
