This was by far the best part of my wedding! The shop is very organized and busy! The dresses were a cut above the rest. Didn't expect such a selection in Buffalo.There dresses were so much better quality than the other shops I visited. more

If you are getting married and want a the perfect bridal consultation, go to Bridals by D. They can look at you and know exactly what type of dress you should wear. There dresses are different than the other shops. Much better quality, and a great staff too. We bought everything at D's and were happy from start to finish. Make sure you schedule ahead for an appointment. They are very busy. It will be worth your while. Prices are good too, I was on a budget but my friend was not. They find gowns in both our price ranges, and we were both thrilled with our choices. If you can work with Denise (owner) she will find your dream dress! more

Had the most wonderful experience at this upscale store. I was worried about price at D's and hesitated to make an appointment at first. Boy was I wrong! Not only are there gowns gorgeous but they were affordable too! My wedding gown was perfect from start to finish. The dress was ordered with a neckline change, and it surpassed my expectations. My bustle was complicated and the girls made sure my wedding party understood how to put it up. My mom was also thrilled with her dress. Don't hesitate. This is truly the best shop in Buffalo!!! more

Kindness, professionalism and incredible dresses is the key to this great salon. My friends are all getting married and the majority of us have purchased dresses at Bridals by D. The service has been first rate, the alterations impeccable, and the dresses much better quality than the other shops. If you are looking for a great dress, look no further! I am an extremely fair person and with that being stated...I need to say that I am very disappointed with the final results of my bridal gown. I was sold an oversize, pricey, discontinued style and believed the promise that they would make it fit beautifully. I would fairly give them a ""D"" for alterations, my dress didn't fit right...the end result was such a disappointment and cost me so much. Sorry to say, I would not recommend them to my enemy. more

My situation is a little different, I am an older bride with a less than perfect body. I entered Bridals by D and was greeted warmly by Denise, and we got immediately to work. She listened to me and then picked gowns we both thought would be good for my shape. Needless to say the first dress she put me in was the one! I wasn't planning on wearing a veil so Denise suggested a silk flower and french veiling. Perfection again! When I came back at fitting time, the dress was a good fit, ( I am not easy to fit). Rosa made some adjustments to the neckline, created a cool bustle, and even added a hand loop so I could carry my train for a while. From start to finish this shop exceeded my expectations. I would tell all brides young and old don't miss out on this amazing salon! more

Wish all my wedding plans ran as smoothly as my experience with Bridals by D. Elaine was a joy to work with. My gown was customized with alot of changes. It was everything and more than I had hoped for when I saw it at the first fitting. Thre bustle was a ""creation"" and everyone commented how beautifully my dress looked when bustled. more

After looking a very long time I was thrilled to find BRIDALS BY D! I traveled from Rochester because I have heard such wonderful things about the shop, the dresses, and the owner. Needless to say, they didn't disappoint!. The shop is stocked with the most current gowns. I was looking for something really unique and Denise (owner) knew exactly what my vision was. My alterations were first rate and Rosa was not only a pro, but very knowledgeable. The veils are so beautiful, and the Mothers dresses, are young and pretty. Even my grandma found the perfect dress. Skip the rest, and go straight to D's! You won't be disappointed. more

I got married on December 11 2010,when I went looking for my wedding gown the first place I went was Bridals by D because of all the wonderful things i have heard about them. As soon as i got there Elaine welcomed me with a smile and let as many people as I wanted come in the shop and help me look :) I told her the type of dress I want ,that I like big and bling i also said I wanted it all white. She pulled this amazing gown that was champagne and white and at first I was not sure and she said just put it on I know it will look beautiful on you with your skin and hair color, as soon as I put it on I fell in love. The whole staff was amazing and the alterations couldn't have been more perfect, they taught my mom and my maid of honor how to do the bustle and worked with them until they got it right, they worked out payment plans with my mom, and they were just so helpful. My mom also got her dress there for her wedding and it was just as beautiful. I will recommend all my friends to bridals by D. They are very classy, friendly and they have the most elegant gorgeous gowns. Thank you again for making my wedding day perfect! more

For such an upscale shop, these women don't know a thing about manners, decency, or professionalism. Upon arriving for my appointment I was rudely lectured about the time it takes to get a dress in and told that I was irresponsible for waiting so long to get a dress (I got engaged in February and will marry in August). Once the consultant found out my price point she didn't bother to lift more than a finger during the appointment-merely taking dresses off the hanger and handing them to me to step into them. The seamstress, Rosa, meddled in the appointment pulling mermaid dress after mermaid dress no matter how many times I said I did not like the style. The consultant and Rosa loudly exchanged words about my size, my price point, and my style. Rosa also made rude comments while I was trying to see if a Japanese obi (which I had brought in) would compliment any of the dresses I was considering: ""What are you marrying a Japanese?"", ""Why don't you just wear a kimono then?"" ""Why not just wear a normal wedding dress?"" This place was atrocious and I wouldn?t recommend it to my worst enemy. more

Found a dress that I loved here... but Elaine was so rude and condescending that I chose not to give Bridals by 'D' my business. I should not have to be talked down to while shopping for one of the biggest days of my life. I had to go to the designer to find a photo of the dress just to show my out-of-town maid of honor and bridesmaids. When I called to ask what the style number was I was told that ""You tried the dress on, you know what it looks like. You should be able to find it."" I understand not being able to take photos unless you're purchasing it. But to be so rude over a style number. I found the dress and showed it to my bridesmaids who all liked it. Unfortunately, no other store in the area carries that line. Ending up finding a dress I liked ten times more at Blissett's in Medina. The staff there are so fun and were really helpful!! No rudeness there! :) more

If you want to support a locally owned bridal salon, this is the place to go! I shopped around at all of the WNY stores, and just couldn't find ""the dress."" Plus I found the staff at some stores rude. There were several dresses I liked at other stores, but none that I LOVED...until I met Betty at Bridals By D. She looked at my body type, skin tone and complexion and chose a dress that I never would have picked out on my own. As soon as I tried it on, I knew it was it! She has an incredible eye, and really chose a different dress for me than I ever would have imagined looking so great! Pros: Great service and great quality more

My daughter went there hoping to buy a veil and was told if she didn't buy her dress there, no go on the veil. I think that is appalling. How many girls wear their mom or grandmothers dress! Awful, unorganized, and worst customer service I have ever seen! Check out my complaint on the Yellow Page page. I posted every reason why I would not recommend them to anyone! I went to Bridals by D first in my search for a wedding dress. Betty at Bridals by D took the time to look through my torn out magazine pics of dresses. Betty noted that I had a wide variety of styles and took the time to show me different dresses to try on. As I tried on dresses, Betty kept finding more dresses she offered me to try, she has a great eye and really helped me find dresses I hadn't even thought of. As it was, the last dress Betty brought me (after I already found the dress I thought was the one) was a tulle dress - Betty noted that I hadn't asked to see in any tulle. I tried on the dress and instantly fell in love and knew it was THE dress. The staff was very helpful throughout the entire process. Pros: Helpful Staff, Alterations on Site Cons: Limited Parking more
