Brett Matthews Photography

After checking out quite a few photographers, my now husband and i loved brett matthews the best. I found quite a few negative reviews online and discussed it with my husband (and the sales guy at brett matthews (brother of the owner- great guy!)) anyways we went ahead with them anyway and we are sooo happy and glad we didnt listen to a few bad reviews on the net. i felt compelled to wirte a reveiw and klet everyone know how great they are and were because out of the thousands of people who hire them only about 5 wrote any reveiws and they were all negative (leading me to believe that only pple who are unhappy with a vendor write on the interenet) the pictures truly are amazing, and i dotn know what everyone is talking abtou when they say they have few pictures - we have about 1000! \r also our engagement photos came out great too! My wedding was perfect, I had nobody to complain about EXCEPT for Brett Matthews Photographers. I was fooled by their fancy presentation and beautiful sample albums. Our pictures were lacking (more than half my guests were not in any pictures) and their follow-up service was atrocious. They claim ""no wrong"" and do not take responsibility for their errors. The staff is a horror to deal with after you sign the contract. They make little attempt to rectify the situation and take your money up front. The only reason this company is getting a star from me is because citysearch does not allow you to give zero stars. Pros: None- there are hundreds of better companies to deal with Cons: Not polite or personable, the pictures are lacking- grandmothers are important, right? more

If you are in the market for a professional photographer for any event....KEEP LOOKING! Brett Matthews has been nothing but impossible, (particulary the owner Sheri....and that is a compliment) to work with! Working with them after your event is as important than before and BM has proved to be a nightmare. I would not recommend them to anyone - their staff is rude, unhelpful and not flexible whatsoever! After reading COUNTLESS negative reviews, I can confirm that they do not deserve to be called PROFESSIONALS. With all of the competition in the NY-Metropolitan area, take your business elsewhere. more

Brett Matthews did my wedding & we were soo Unhappy. Their photographers missed too many vital shots, that can never be re-created, like the groom & his parents, Our huge flowered Chuppah, a family shot with, my now deceased, grandmother, the groom with his father, a room shot etc. Their attire was completly unprofessional & the owner was outrageously rude to us when we called to speak about our disappointment. It is now a year & a half since my weddintg & still no PHOTO ALBUM. She has threatened me several times, for voicing my complaints publicly & has threatened not to give us our album, which was paid for less $100 which we are suppossed to pay for when we actually receive our album. The company also has several other complaints. Now that i have voiced my opinion, she has apparently gotten some of her clients to write reviews, let me just point out that there were NO good reviews, before all the bad ones. Buyer Beware.\r And for every customer of theirs that has seen my album (THAT I HAVE NOT RECEIVED, OVER 1 1/2 YEARS AFTER MY WEDDING), please tell others what you think of the tree sticking out of my husbands head in almost ALL of the pictures. And I hope, for their sake, they are not taking credit for the picture of the cake that my Aunt took & i needed to use in my album, since the photographers neglected to take a full color picture of my custom-made cake-Their quality of work & attitude seems to be the reason why they needed the majority of my money up front Cons: Missed vital pictures, horrible customer service & unwillingness to seek a resolution. more
