Dr. Brett is Best in Northwest! 11/7/2010

Dr. Brett is the very best surgeon in the NW. He is a wonderful patient advocate, which is hard to find anymore. He is the best Nuerosurgeon and extremly talended and gifted. I have had 3 surgery's in the past decade. Others are shocked at how much range of motion I have after the work that I have had done. Dr. Brett knows what to pay attention to and won't waste time over frivoluos symptoms. He is direct and truthful. I am forever grateful to this caring doctor for the work he has done for me. I am still able to live a healthy and active lifestlye due to Bretts work. I would not let anyone else work on something as critical as my spine except for Dr. Brett. He is a gifted and talented surgeon that you can trust! His staff is so friendly and knowledgable, you can sense that they truly care about the patient. It's rare to feel that in todays rushed world, they place your needs ahead of anything. I love this doctor and his team. more

If you've got insurance, he's got a surgery 2/26/2010

Everyone I know that's been to see him, gets surgery recommended after an expensive work up. He tried to talk me into fixing a disc on my right side when my symptoms were on my left. Another doctor treated my muscle sprain on my left and I'm fine. He's got nice clothes and office though. Pros: Nice office Cons: Knife Happy more

Dr. Darrel Brett - Outstanding Doc! 11/21/2009

I had a pretty major disc problem in my neck (including a rupture) but because of my insurance (tricare) had trouble getting treatment. Finally my doctor sent me to Dr Brett, who not only acceps Tricare but also just happens to be an expert at the type of injury I had. Pros: The best at what he does Cons: A long drive for me more

Completely Opposite from the other two 11/18/2009

I went in, he was late because he was delayed in surgery. They offered to reschedule me but I wanted to get it all done. He came into the room and immediately shook my hand and apologized for the delay. I told him if I were the person in surgery I'd rather that he stayed there too. This caused an almost smile to come from his face. He pulled out my films right in front of me, pointed out exactly what he saw, explained the procedure thoroughly in terms that I could understand, asked if I had more questions, and told me someone would be in shortly to help with scheduling my surgery. His staff was very courteous. My primary doctor consulted with Dr. Brett ahead of time throughout my condition and explain that he's not the most personable person but he gets stuff done and knows what he's doing. Pros: Great Help Cons: Not a conversationalist more

Second Thoughts Validated 6/27/2008

After a very long wait time and a 3 minute visit, at which my concerns were dismissed, I was scheduled with Dr. Darrell Brett for lumbar fusion so I did some research. Among many equally bad reviews and less than honorable community choices I found this stranger than fact item; After disputing a $25 ticket, he rammed his car into an airport parking attendant. He was reported as saying ""I could buy and sell people like you."" Pros: Staff Cons: Doctor is mentally unstable. more

Patients Beware of Dr. Darrell Brett, Neurosurgeon 3/1/2008

Our primary doctor recommended I see a neurosurgeon immediately to get further clinical evaluation. My spouse and I consulted Dr. Brett in January. My spouse has a severe bulged disc in his spine which compresses several nerve exit roots resulting in severe weakness, numbness, and many other serious symptoms. His situation is serious so we wanted to get an honest opinion from a professional neurosurgeon. more
