Sad decline of a once solid neighborhood establishment
I have been going to the Colony with my family a couple times of month for the past 20 years and I am sorry to say I won't be back.
The current crew of managers is clueless.
In the past 6 months-
- Our table was told that we would have to get our own drinks if we weren't ordering food. This was at 9:30 and maybe half the tables were occupied.
- My family and I were harassed at our table by a drunk posing as a Cleveland Hts. cop. (He wasn't, but I didn't find that out until the next day) and we were asked to leave because we were told by the manager that we were too loud when telling him to go away.
- Four of us were having dinner and one of the dinners didn't come out with the others. I know this happens sometimes, but the server was nowhere to be found to tell him. It was another 15 minutes until the food arrived. We finally did find a manager to tell him about the problem and the vanishing server. He must have reprimanded the server, because he followed us out into the street and yelled at us for complaining to the manager rather telling him about the problem.
I did enjoy the food there, but it's just not worth it to have your evening ruined by a poorly run establishment.
There are plenty of other choices on Lee Road.
