Ok - leaves a bit of an empty feeling 6/26/2008

It is a beautiful space, and great selection of Hard Tail gear. Ok classes for beginner/intermediate & some advanced (though not much). The staff, though friendly, do not appear sincere in their interest - there's no warmth and you feel a bit like you are intruding on a girl's club you don't know about. Kinda cliquish. The teachers I've experienced - Billy & Hollace - do give off the feeling of being ""real"" - if that matters to you. Pros: Great Space - beautiful. Cons: ""sorority"" like more

Wonderful First Experience With Yoga 4/7/2008

\r I have never done any type of yoga, and was reluctant to give it a whirl. I am so glad that I did -- the space itself is amazing and very convenient. The instructors manage to get the very best out of everyone in their class, regardless of experience. And don't get me wrong -- the instructors can handle any level of experience. I felt perfectly comfortable straining to touch my toes -- while the woman beside me basically danced on her ear in the corner. It doesn't get any better! more

Fabulous and fun and peaceful yoga 11/2/2007

I love the Breathing Room. Yoga is both gentle and rigorous. The instructors are encouraging. It is absolutely NOT competitive yoga, whereever I am is good. I hope I can do this forever. I am thinking of just spending a whole day there doing yoga, meditating, and shopping and drinking at the juice bar. I am very grateful and happy to have this opportunity every day to do yoga. And you can buy a season's pass and go as much as you want. Pros: great, gentle yet powerful instruction Cons: i have a fulltime job and can't just live there! more

Best Yoga Studio in Charlotte 10/30/2007

Breathing Room is a breath of fresh air for Charlotte. A very welcoming studio for those of all levels of experience -- and a wonderful place for those looking to begin a yoga practice. Great space, great atmosphere, and great teachers combined with a fabulous retail space and the PURE Bar -- you can't beat the combination.
