I was disappointed with the experience. I called to ask to make an appt to discuss a wedding cake we would like to order and the person was rude. She told me to draw it or bring a picture by then she would call me back and give me a quote. I tried to ask about an appt to discuss color options and other design and she told me to drop my picture off and because she was so busy, she would call me back when she had time. I explained that after meeting with several vendors, this is not a normal process and she then asked me to hold on because she had another call coming in and was busy. I told her no, I will not hold on and this is certainly a preview of a bad day on a wedding day over a late and ""not what we asked for"" cake. They lost a VERY LARGE account more

I love the new store. The people at ""Bread of Heaven"" are super nice. There is a ton of baked goods from which to choose. We tried some of the cake slices. The coconut cake was moist and all around yummy. The yellow cake with chocolate icing was a bit dry, but the icing was tasty. The red velvet cake was nice as were the bar cookies w/ m&m's. It's not the best bakery I've ever been to, but it's not too bad for Goldsboro. You certainly can't beat the prices (very reasonable). It's definitely worth a try. more

Wish I could say this place is fabulous, as the lady was very nice. Goldsboro needs a great ""real"" bakery but this is not the place. I got a sampling of 6 items and only one tasted on the mark. The other 5 tasted as though they had too much of something and not enough of something else. Now I grew up in South Florida with fabulous Italian Bakeries, so I may be spoiled. Your taste may not be as finicky as mine and you may enjoy the treats. I wish they tasted as good as they look. more

I asked my mom to go by this bakery and get some general information regarding wedding cakes since I am in Maryland but plan on having my wedding in Goldsboro. I don' t know if this was the owner but the experience relayed by my mother ensured I will not get my wedding cake from there secondly I will never go to this bakery or recommend it to anyone else. My mom could not get any type of general information, time frame, types of cakes etc because she was not ready to place an order. If the lady had just listened to my mom, and what she was trying to find out then she might have had a customer for life. For a place with Heaven in the name, the Golden Rule should probably be a main ingredient. more

Bread of Heaven Bakery is the perfect place to go for any sweet tooth! Large variety with very nice people and very warm environment. I go to them every time there is a birthday, wedding, simple gathering, or a craving for something sweet. I would highly recommend them to every. The prices are well within a reasonable and even cheap range for the quality of the homecooked, made from scratch goodies. more
