I had ordered some pastries that cost a bit of money only to get under cooked tasteless dough. Not going back Pros: Nothing Cons: expensive undercooked dough.

Bread Winners is a great casual brunch restaurant. A lot of their selections have Tex Mex influences. I had the San Antonio Tacos (eggs, black beans, cheese). They're pretty simple, but they were really good and filling. The restaurant is also dog friendly if you sit on the patio (which is heated). The restaurant also turns into a bar at night. Both are pretty casual and both have fun atmospheres. Nice place to not have to dress completely to impress and enjoy Uptown Dallas. more

You can’t usually find fresh bread in this area and I realized that I haven’t been in this place yet. Starting this month I will buy my bread from this place. more

Best for every meal! 10/5/2009

I love Breadwinners! Not only do they have an amazing atmosphere, great food, awesome bread, great frozen mimosas but they have the nicest wait staff in town. Every time I go there we are treated so great. They also have free dessert on Sunday nights! more

Fun place. 8/29/2009

Fun place to go but beware, it does get crowded on the weekends. The bar is pretty big and has a really cool atmosphere. Prices are typical for uptown. The drinks are good and the bartenders are friendly. more

One of the Best Brunches in Dallas 7/12/2009

Breadwinners is one of my favorite places for brunch in Dallas. Show up early so you don't have to wait forever with all the Uptown riff-raff, but the food is worth it. Pros: Great breakfast/brunch menu Cons: Service can sometimes be spotty when crowded more

An immediate favorite in DFW 5/3/2009

First off, this place makes a good cup of coffee, which is just the first thing telling you you've made the right decision to eat at Bread Winners. I had a southwest-inspired egg dish and my girlfriend had the strawberry waffles. Both were excellent. The egg dish had a nice complement of tastes, and everything was perfectly fresh. The waffles were crisp and perfect with hand-whipped cream; hard to beat. Made for a great morning. Pros: Excellent breakfast, coffee, service Cons: Little parking more

Great food and ambiance - good drink specials daily 12/14/2008

I have been to both the uptown and plano locations.\r \r They have half priced bottles of wine on wednesdays and martini specials on thursdays.\r \r the bread on the table is awesome and the service has always been good.\r \r The side dishes - especially the mac and cheese to to die for.\r \r The vegetarian plate is one of the best meals I have ever had. Pros: Great food and good drink specials Cons: Nothing! Wish I could go more often! more

One of my favorite bars 12/4/2008

This place is always a great time. Good drinks, good music, cute bar. Although you will find some douches populating the place (it is Dallas), most of the people there are friendly, fun people. I love the second floor patio! It gets sooooooooooooo crowded on Friday and Saturday nights, but it's worth it. Pros: Great atmosphere!! Cons: Crowded more

Great Sunday Brunch 5/12/2008

This is the perfect place to spend your Sunday afternoon - good food, great waitstaff, not to mention the mimosa's - if you can stand a 30 minute wait your Sunday will be perfect! more

overrated 5/5/2008

I do not understand why people rave about breadwinners. I have been there multiple times and am a dallas native...i simply don't get it. the breakfast bread sampler at the beginning generally has four types of bread and only one is good. why would i want tomato basil bread in a breakfast pastry mix every single time? Last time i went i decided to try some type of french toast with cinnamon or something but it didn't have any taste. it's decent but definitely does not live up to the hype. really, if you want good breakfast, go to the pancake house where they have good waffles, good pancakes and real syrup. mmmm more

The best breakfast in dallas! 10/2/2007

Love love love this place! The portions are ample, the quality FRESH and excellent, the drinks the way they should be ie: coffee hot and tea cold and not watered down?. The service is always excellent! I have NEVER had a bad dish, service or day at this place. Try one of the scrambles, I have those on Sundays and they are my favorite! Pros: Try sitting in the 'garden, it is fantastic! Cons: Long waits on weekends, so come early or wait ( it's worth it either way) more

Over priced dough. I wouldn't recommend it 5/31/2007

curious about how to recommend a businessess 12/7/2006

I wish they didn't allow smoking. but a love bakeries and saw that other people had send in good reviews. I thought it worth a try. more

Has many types of bread at tables, but will nickle and dime you like no other place in Dallas. 11/13/2006

The food is great. Some of it is overpriced ($9-$12 for Eggs Benedict). Service is usually good, but they have a few bad apples. The coffee is strong and yummy and at least $2. Breads to go cost about $5-$6. You can get half priced waffles for $2.95, but with a few bananas, strawberries and a bit of whipped cream they cost $8.95. What?!? Pros: Half priced wine night, good food, usually good service. Cons: Nickle and dime you on everything. Sometimes it is really busy. Thursday is half priced night for the kiddies. more
