Faux Irish Pub with BAD BAD Food 4/5/2010

Where do I start ? Both Interior and Extior of the 'Pub' were quite good, nice imported bar for Ireland, great decor, lovely little booths (Snug), busy little patiobut that's where the good experience ends. The service for the most part was pretty decent but the choice of on Tap beers was dire (about 5) but this place is a disgrace when it comes to the quality of the food, the wings had been deep fried about 3 times in oil that was at least a few days if not a week old, the Balsamic Salad was oily beyond words, the battered fish sandwich was limp and served with greasy potato chips not 'chips' in the tradional fish & chips mode, the burger was as hard as nails (cooked medium), god help anyone that orders a Well-Done one, and the kids Chicken Tenders were cooked in the same week-old oil so no points for guessing how it tasted... I had a choice to go to The Pub in Polaris but opted for Brazenhead as it was closer to my family day out at Columbus Zoo plus I thought it would make a change, how wrong I was, I should have kept on driving and saved myself the expereince of an extremely BAD meal in a Plastic Paddie version of a pub....A HUGE LET DOWN Pros: Nice Decor Cons: Food, Food & Food more

Wednesday is $3 burger night, can't beat it. Friendly staff with great Irish/English beer on tap. 3/16/2007

Great ambiance with the snugs and the bars on multiple levels. When the weather is nice the patio is a great place to watch the world wander by. Parking can be a pain especially on Wed. since it's burger night ($3 for a great burger). Pros: Laid-back, kind of an upscale hole in the wall. Great bartenders & Irish beer on tap. Cons: parking can be a pain. more

Pretty good. 10/3/2005

Though Brazenhead is WAY too lavish for a genuine Irish pub, the decor is nice, and the ambience relaxed. We've only been there for lunch, and have never had to wait for a table. The service can be a bit iffy - some of the young girls really don't seem terribly interested in taking care of the customers - drink orders are taken, then the server disappears for 10 mins, and there is sometimes quite a wait for food, even when the pub isn't busy. Still, I highly recommend their burger with garlic sauce - I always ask for extra sauce on the side to dip the home-made chips in. Delicious! Prices are a little higher than other places but, hey, that's Dublin for you. Pros: Good food, Location, Beer selection Cons: V. busy @ night, Parking, Iffy service more

Another ""Authentic"" Irish Pub 9/23/2003

High on atmosphere, low on beer selection. Brazenhead is one of those pricey Irish bars that tries to capture the Irish spirit by actually importing fixtures from Ireland (Fado at Easton and O'Shaughnessy's in the Arena District did the same thing). Rumor has it the cost was $1M to re-create a real Irish pub. Dublin being a rather affluent suburb of Columbus, you are going to pay a little more for your food and drinks here. It is also packed at any peak mealtime. If you have a chance, make sure to ask for a ""snug"", which is a little semi-secluded room where you can have a little privacy to enjoy your beer and/or cigar. Pros: Atmosphere Cons: Crowded, Expensive more
