I promised myself that I would not post negatively online about him but I seriously needed to because this was by far the worst man I have ever come in contact with. \r \r Dr. Brannon made me wait over an hour for every appointment (He often seemed concerned with his Meti Fast patients before his OB patients and they seemed to always get called at their appointment time and he left the pregnant women were waiting), made inappropriate jokes about my husband who is in the military and was just all around nasty at all my appointments. He was impatient and unkind in preforming ultrasounds and made me worry unnecessarily about things that had to do with my baby... like when he couldn't hear the heart beat because he was placing the probe on the wrong part of my stomach. \r \r However, I feel that the biggest thing was the BP which every single time I was in his office was 'high' but after I changed providers was no longer a concern because I was not getting angry that I was waiting for an hour for every appointment. \r \r I am so glad to have not only found another provider but that this man did not deliver my baby. \r \r My advice is: There are other doctors out there, get the hell away from this place... I would not let this man deliver my baby if her were the last OB on earth. more

I witnessed Dr. Brannon being unprofessional with his staff each time I visited his practice. Unfortunately, I was subjected to his flippant attitude as well. He rushed me so much that I couldn't get clear answers from him. I asked him if he could slow down so that I could understand and he mocked my southern accent as if he was having to speak hillbilly to slow down. \r \r He suggested I get a hysterectomy, but it wasn't needed. \r \r I have a healthy uterus and I won't subject myself to him ever again. \r \r I would not recommend him. more

I have been a patient of Dr. Brannon for over two years now, and I'll have to say he's an amazing doctor. Just to explain a little, yes he's abrupt and to the point, he is silly and cracks jokes at his staff (he may be hard on them but seriously they all respect and love him), and he's always busy (he bounces from emergency deliveries to his practice across the street). He's not for the over sensitive types or those who want a hand to hold the whole time, and he doesn't take long at all to do an exam. This doesn't mean he's not thorough (who wants a man spending all day in your business lol). But he seriously has helped us through two of the most difficult (and potentially dangerous) deliveries. He and his staff are well trained and hard working, and I've always felt like we were in good hands with them. He has been so good to me, my husband and my kids. Don't let negative reviews turn you away. There is a reason this man has so much demand. more

Avoid this practice. I was referred to Dr. Brannon by a friend. My first visit was fine. Dr. Brannon thinks he's funny so he's always cracking jokes and being silly, but it was tolerable. He had his staff give me some literature to read and I scheduled a second appointment. Dr. Brannon was rude, unprofessional, insulting and condescending. I asked the nurse a question and she looked frightened to answer. He ordered some tests and left the room abruptly. I told the nurse to not bother with it as I would not be returning there. I am SO glad I was not seeing him during a pregnancy. I would feel trapped with his Dr. Jekyl/Mr. Hyde personality. Thankfully, I learned his true colors early on and didn't get caught up in the toxicity of that place. Please, please, do yourself (and your future baby) a favor and steer clear of this man with the serious God-complex. more

Horrid experience-Find somewhere else 4/6/2012

This Dr. is very rude and full of himself. I know it may be hard to believe just reading reviews, however take peoples word ( words ) for it and stay away!! I do not understand why some people find him to be energetic and confident and others say he is arrogant and rude. That is confusing to say the least. I have personally witnessed: 1. screaming at staff 2. making condescending remarks personally at me 3. belittling me 4. off color ""jokes"" ( and I use that term loosely) 5. Other small items I will not mention Do your research,he cannot keep ANY Drs with him in his practice.. that in itself speaks VOLUMES more

Can't imagine anyone else delivering my babies! 3/26/2012

I absolutely love Dr. Brannon. I have seen him through two pregnancies and loved the care that I received. I originally went to him on a recommendation from a friend. She said that he was a Christian and very compassionate. After hearing about his compassionate care during her miscarriage, I decided to go. I was uneasy at first going to an all male obgyn. However, their kindness and professionalism quickly eased my anxiety. The nurses were all wonderful too. I have had several girlfriends go through really difficult times/miscarriages through which he has been so kind and compassionate. His personality is very exuberant and unexpected. It's not unusual to hear him coming down the hall before he ever gets to your room. It is true that he is a busy man, runs a busy practice - however, he is very in demand. I found his expertise and overall care worth it. I don't recall a particularly long wait - a lot depends on the day and time you schedule your appointments. His partner, Dr. Z. performed my first c-section and did a wonderful job (I saw all three Dr.s at some point during that long delivery). Dr. B performed my second. Above all else, I loved his passion for what he does. He truly loves helping families bring babies into the world. He considers them an incredible gift from God. And I love that. I also recall during my second pregnancy. During my first trimester I was at the wheel and involved in a high-speed collision with a semi-truck. Even after the initial ER ultrasound came back ok, I was still terrified that I might lose the baby. I called in, and even though I wasn't scheduled for an ultrasound, he gave me one to ease my fears. He was so kind during such a vulnerable and important time, that's a kindness you don't forget. more

Dr. Brannon is a great choice for an OB! 12/24/2010

This is our first baby here in NC, but we have lived other places and had other babies with other OB's. Therefore, we are familiar with the process and knew what we were looking for when picking a doctor. In our search we wanted someone we could trust. We wanted someone who was confident and would look our for my safety and the safety of our baby to be. We are 37 weeks now and have been in and out of the hospital a few times. Overall, this has been a fairly good pregnancy, but I have had some issues with headaches. Every step of the way Dr. Brannon has been amazing. Yes, he is quick. Yes, he is fast. Yes, he will tell you exactly what is on his mind. But, the good side of that is that he treats and gets back to you quickly, takes care of your issue with speed and tells you exactly what needs to be done to keep you and your baby safe. He always thinks out his decisions and stands behind them. He is not a doctor who wants to pass the responsibility to anyone else! It amazes me that for a doctor who has practiced for so many years he still loves and values every baby that he helps bring into the world. He treats each mom and each baby as special and unique. You will be in great hands if you choose Dr. Brannon! more

Excellent Physician, Outstanding Man 12/21/2010

Disagree completely with any negative reviews. I often find reviews confusing when I am searching out info as you don't know who to believe. If you are like me, trust me when I share my experience to be true. I have been a patient of Dr. Brannon's for 7 years. He has performed a D&C on me after my first miscarriage and showed such support when we found out in his office as a father would show a daughter. Truly amazing. When I mention his name to others I often hear similar stories of generosity and compassion that are too numerous to list. He has delivered 2 of my children and has also provided great counsel. I consider Dr. Brannon to be a Godsend to me and my family. His personality is definitely type A which is not to be negative, just to comment that he is energetic and confident. However when a serious situation arises he is an excellent listener and source of wisdom for anyone who will take the time to get to know him. Definitely give him a call, from one of his biggest fans and no I am not a relative or work in his office. Just thankful to have been referred to him by 5 diff. women on my search for an OB. more

RUN-DONT WALK-AWAY FROM THIS PRACTICE 10/18/2010

I regret being a patient at this office. Dr Brannon is so arrogant and non professional, he thinks hes some sort of comedian and treats his office staff very rude. I overheard serveral comments screamed to the staff just in the short time I was there. He obviously has trouble keeping Drs. in practice with him. I know his website screams Christianity, but I havent witnessed any huge amount of caring or consideration for fellow woman, in this instance..... more

I love this office 8/25/2010

I started going to Dr. Brannon in 2003 with my first pregnancy and have been with him since. I have had 2 c-sections and a Novasure procedure and with everyone of them Dr. Brannon was professional and was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. He is not the kind of doctor that holds your hand and coddles you but he will give you the most up to date information, answer all your questions and let you make an informed decision. He wants you to be involved with your health care. He has a strong personallity but he also has a huge heart. His practice is busy but what OB practice isn't? After having an emergency c section I can honestly say that he loves what he does and will do everything he can to bring your baby into this world as healthy as possible. He also is very understanding with gyn issues. He gives you the latest statiscs and information and provides you with the knowledge to make an informed decision. more

Get Your Records, and RUN..... 5/21/2010

Was a patient for several years. Witnessed Dr. B yelling at a nurse and saying ""use your head"" over how much betadine was in a cup. ""I've got a patient that's gonna bleed to death and you can't even pour betadine right"". I was feeling comfortable about my DNC until all of this. Glad he didn't want me to die, but the atmosphere was horrible. I'm a nurse and could see that his nurse had poured a 1/2 cup, he wanted a little more. The office staff is just a part of the domino effect it trickles down. They can't get your records sent on time, can't get prior approval on time, can't keep your insurance filed. Every visit meant I had to call my insurance company because this office always thought I owed more money than my co-pay. Cons: Please read more

I love brannona 4/15/2010

I started going to dr brannon in 2007 with my first pregnancy and again with my second preg short after the care was amazing and i do agree that Dr. Rogers does take more time if you like jokes and are easy going go Brannon is your man . I saw dr brannon all thru my pregnancy up to 39 weeks when i saw rogers and sceduled an induction my induction was fine up to the birth part he missed my daughter being born even though they kept paging him my nurse had to get a midwife from another practice to deliever her after that it kept going down hill i had no epidural and got stitches that were painful but that wasent his fault i got released that sunday and did some walking around when i got a sharp lower pain the pain got worse and by sunday was unbearable at first i thought it might be gas or something but it got so bad i couldnt sleep or cough or even take care of my newborn or my toddler finally i called up there and they told me to come in Thank god it was Dr.Brannon he asked mw why i hadnt waited for him jiking around and he asked what was wrong he did an ultrasound and sure enough Dr.Rogers had left placenta in my uterus...you could clearly see Dr.Brannon was not happy at all he was gonna do a dialation and evac in the office but the pain was unbearable and he said he didnt want me to hurt anymore then i already was so i had emergency surgery the next morning while i waited for him to be able to fit me in he was kind a reassuring and pushes scheduled surgeries after i had mine i lost all trust for dr.rogers and am very glad he doesnt work there anymore or i can assure you i would have found another practice Pros: He cares about his patients Cons: he can be rushed hes the only dr . there tho more

BOVIE SCRATCHPAD left INSIDE me after C-SECTION 2/11/2010

after my C-section, these doctors left a scratchpad, which is similar to a brillo pad inside me, it sat in my bowel for 6 weeks and caused damage...I needed a complete hysterectomy at age 34....this group is rushed and careless...FIND another practice, don't let a mistake like mine happen to you. Cons: bad practice more

DO NOT GO HERE 11/25/2009

Dr. Brannon is very arrogant and rude. I have never been so insulted in all my life. He rushes in and out of your room, without listening to Anything you have to say. He makes inappropriate comments, and takes joking way to far. The first visit he rudely interrupted me, made comments that were not warranted and was very harsh and extremely full of himself. I will NEVER return to this practice, and if you do some research, you will find Dr Brannon cannot keep any other doctors with him.. Wonder why? more

I lOVE Dr. Brannon! 11/9/2009

I have been with Dr. Brannon for a few years now. I recently had an ectopic pregnancy and Dr. Brannon saved my life and my ability to have children again. He made this difficult time bearable and is taking such good care of me I feel completely at ease with the situation. I would tell anyone to see him. I am very lucky he is right on top of things! He is an angel! Pros: great doctor, friendly staff Cons: wait times sometimes more

I like Dr. Rogers 11/9/2009

Dr. Z retired, Dr. Scott did not last even a year and so it's down to Brannon and Rogers. I was not happy with my first OB office. I loved my Doctor (Dr. Tartarchek) but did not like the office one bit. A friend recommended Brannon and Rogers and I'm glad. I met Brannon and realized his personality and mine would not mesh. He's very easy going - almost like a beach bum. He was too rushed for me. Rogers was hurried too, but I figured out it was the practice and not him. If you wanted more consult time, you just had to ask in advance and then he would sit down with you and talk. Some of the cancelled appts were office errors. I would ask for Rogers but get Brannon, and I had to wait forever a couple of times. But in an OBGYN office things like women going into labor, long discussions with a woman who may have just had a miscarriage, etc. can really hold up an appt. I try to be very patient. But as far as good care goes, Dr. Rogers was terrific. He answered all my questions intelligently and was never judgmental. I am not Christian and I never got the feeling that mattered. That is very important to me. Be Christian at church but don't preach to me in a Doctor's office - and he didn't. He respected ALL my decisions. Most of the office staff are friendly and remember my name. Rogers will be going solo soon and I will follow him. If I had to choose, I would say my vote is for Rogers as the best of the two. But it's really a personality choice. With ANY doctor, you have to fit and never never be afraid to ask for more time at appts if you need it. Pros: Very intelligent, very honest Cons: Cancelled, delayed appts more

I will NOT be going here again! 9/22/2009

Do not expect to leave here in less than an hour. Every time I go here I wait at least 45 min. in the waiting room and 15 min. laying on an uncomfortable exam table. They book WAY too many patients and it shows from the lack of impersonal service you receive. I always feel rushed and they don't talk down to your level. I had one friend who went there and the doctor forgot about her! They were about to close their office and she was still in the waiting room! Find another place to go to! Cons: waiting time, impersonal doctors more

Not Infertility specialists 9/8/2009

On my first visit, I saw Dr Brannon. While nice enough, Dr Brannon is so fast with you, you barely have time to ask questions, much less get them answered. I was 35, diabetic, and concerned about being able to get pregnant. He told me to try for 6 months, then come back. In 6 months, I came back to see Dr Rogers, hoping for a little more time and attention and information. I was 36 years old, not getting pregnant, and worried about health issues that could be preventing it. He told me I should try ANOTHER 6 months, and gave me a spiel about how women assume they are infertile, yada yada, and didn't want to do anything. I begged him to run tests, at least some basic ones, and he tried to guilt me into NOT having the tests run. I quit the practice, and went somewhere else, and turns out, I do have a fertility issue, and if I had listened to him, would have been 6 months longer not knowing and not getting pregnant. Definitely NOT a good place to go if you have fertility questions or concerns. Cons: don't listen, dismiss concerns, too quick to rush you out more

Way overbooked - very long wait times 8/31/2009

Dr's are very nice, but they are way overbooked and the wait time is crazy. It was normal for me to spend an hour waiting to be seen, just for the dr to rush in and out of the room once I finally got back to a room. They never sat down to talk, I would literally be asking questions as they were walking out of the room. Same story in the hospital. The nurse was seconds away from delivering my baby waiting for dr to get there. He delivered the baby and within mins was gone again. Came back one time to check on me during my 3 days in the hospital. I spent the whole 3rd day waiting on him to come back and give me the ok to go home. The nurses said I couldn't leave w/o getting the ok from my pediatrician and obgyn. Finally that afternoon they went to find the Dr only to realize he had gone and forgotten about me. They called the office and he said I could wait until after 5 and he'd come back or I could just leave. I left and haven't been back since. Not even for the 6 week follow up visit. Pros: nice Dr's when they're around Cons: very long wait - way overbooked more

Incredible Hearts 12/18/2008

I have never met three men who love their job and the Lord more. This was my first experience with male OBs, but they were incredible throughout my pregnancy. Dr. Brannon was my primary doctor and we loved him. He was going to be out of the country when I was due to give birth, so their new doctor, Dr. Scott took over my care. If you are looking for a new dr, go see him (or Dr. Brannon or Dr. Rogers, they are all incredible!). He is wonderful at his job, but he also cares about you as a patient and will do whatever it takes to make you comfortable and make sure your pregnancy is healthy. I received better care than I could ever ask for. I hope that when we have our next baby, we will still live here. I could not imagine having another office take care of me during that special time. The office staff and nurses are attentive and caring. The office is usually very busy and we often had to wait a little while, but the care we received was well worth any wait. Dr. Scott would take as much time as need to answer our questions and address any concerns we had. You will not be disappointed if you see these wonderful men for your general health and prenatal care. Pros: They love Jesus! Caring Service, Deep Concern for your and baby's health, only three drs so you get to know all of them! Cons: Being in Cary - its a long drive from Wake Forest. more
