I hired Mr. Branigan to assist me with a legal matter involving my father. My fathers legal issues were concerning 2 dead-beat tenants. Mr. Branigan was thorough and very accommodating. If I was not able to get him on the telephone I was able to speak to one of his other employees who were also very helpful. If my question was not answered completely by them, Mr. Branigan would call me back within a day or two. My experience with Lawyers prior was much different. I was charged a lot more for less and was lucky to hear back from them in the week let alone day or two. \r \r Mr. Branigan helped me to effectively remove the tenants through the eviction process much faster then we had experienced on our own. Since then I have used Branigan & Associates for a number of other legal matters concerning personal matters as well as property and have nothing but good things to say about his service as well as the rest of his groups service. I would recommend him to anyone looking for legal representation.\r \r I have read some of the more recent reviews and agree with Mr. Antwion P. that some of the accusations below from Mr. John A. seem completely fabricated. Mr. John A. Are you going to tell others that I am a fabricated client? How about we produce documentation of legitimacy for other reviewers to see. Can you provide proof of hiring and paying Mr.Branigan yourself? \r I can show that proof. I also can show proof that he was able to settle my affairs and performed as an expected hired professional should. Can you provide this proof. Mr. Branigan not only did his job for me but he took the time to explain everything to me including the bad. What I can say the most endearing attribute Mr. Branigan displayed was his ability to relate to my situation as not only a lawyer but as a person. Unfortunately we have individuals such as yourself that are allowed to make accusations without the burden of proof and therefore causing legitimate business professionals to be looked at in a preconceived manner. \r \r I am a legitimate client of Mr. Branigans and I can show proof of that. Jeff C And John A should be ashamed of themselves and find a better way to spend there time other then spreading lies about a great attorney. First Jeff C was NEVER A CLIENT of Branigan&Associates it was a family member who was the client he is a LIAR in every sense of the word.And for John A you make some serious accusations do you have proof of this behavior i didn't think so before you make accusation be a man and find some facts. more

Heres a tip: allot of people dont like lawyers but Sean Branigan is worth getting a consult with if you have a legal problem because he does know the law and does his job. I knew him since before he was the firm owner and was a public defender for many years and has represented allot of clients in family and criminal court. He represented me in Municipal and Superior Courts and got me visitation to my daughter back among other things and got a fake charge dropped. I am born and raised here in Montclair went to MHS and as someone who knows he will answer the call and meet for a free consult and then its your decision to hire him or not. BEWARE - The recent positive reviews are fabricated. (all members joined 2 months ago in one session). This is done by Branigan, which is a direct violation of attorney ethics. The attorney drinks during the day in his room and doesn't pay attention to his cases. He does not guide his staff who are underpaid and inexperienced. He even has issues with his trust account that was investigated some time ago. Stay away. Go to a proper law office, not this one. more

Branigan and I went to school together and he helped me win my DUI. The people who are mad at the world will always blame their lawyer. I can tell you they have gotten more greencards for their clients than all the other Montclair lawyers combined. Also, Branigan is a state trained pool attorney which is why he is comfortable and networked in every Superior and Municipal court. He grew up here and tries his best to protect his clients - MANY of which never even appreciate it. The best of the worst. Highly recommended more

I have used this firm for nearly ten years. They got me a tax reduction and got my son out of trouble for 1/2 the cost of two big firms and got a better result. Sean Branigan was a public defender and worked with a friend of mine in Essex and Passaic Counties and is a highly respected attorney. Dont believe the haters that are full of it. They also did my cousins divorce and got her $10k a month in alimony. Must meet with Mr. Branigan as there have been allot of lawyers there. more

Avoid this law firm. They have been bungling a simple divorce case for my mother-in-law, dragging out for months what could have been done by more professional lawyers far more quickly. They seemed to know nothing about the case whatsoever, never communicated with us at all up until Mr Branigan felt it was time to share the bill at which time he took personal interest. He never notified us the retainer expired and whenever we spoke with his firm (they would never give any information or updates without us having to chase them down) he was aggressive and insulting. This is not a professional. Find a better lawyer. more

im only giving them a one star rating because i have too to post this.if it was up to me i would not even give that! i am posting this because i want people to beware of them lieing.the other reviews are correct.not enough ink to say what happened to us.seriously go elsewhere.non proffesional and they only have bigger fish to fry.they do not communicate with you at all if you dont follow up with them.we wasted almost 2 years when come to find out our case was closed after two months.no one told us this so we continued to wait.save your money.the good old i told you so.they have people that do not know what they are doing there and very disorganized.every time you call, you speak to a different person and you keep retelling your story over and over.meanwhile like the other person said,they are probably grads that do not know what they are doing.this is putting it lightly.too bad i cannot fully explain.i just might consider bringing this to the news.good luck more

I have dealt with them through my divorce and my will. I can say they are the real thing and very fair as I know the other lawyer charged twice the money and did less work. They are very polite which is rare. Also very diverse and sensitive through hard times. more

My daughter was about to graduate from Montclair State and was a Dean's list student. She has already been admitted to her 1st choice graduate program and has been an honor roll student her whole life. She did something really dumb to a classmate and was charged with a felony. We retained Sean Branigan and Associates because two of my patients highly recomended them. As an area physician and only one daughter Sean Branigan treated her case with utter care. She was actually facing jail time and had made an incriminating confession. First he got the charge downgraded and then dismissed after eight months of solid work. The other two lawyers I was considering were like kings - with egos to match. When I met Sean Branigan I knew he was an ace because he was just as sharp but humble and respectful. I had heard he was the kind of guy you could trust to protect his client even when the door was locked and he was alone with the prosecutor. I could not echoe that opinion more. It is simple Sean Branigan saved my daughter from possible jailtime and saved her record from a criminal conviction. As a physician I know that results matter. He got the best possible outcome with the least amount of risk. Not to mention he was 1/2 the retainer. I give this firm the highest respect. This firm is great and if you read this please know they are the best in New Jersey. First of all, Mr. Branigan is a lifelong NJ resident that is very strong minded and self assured. Second, he kept his word and represented many of our matters for a VERY reasonable fee with outstanding results. As a historical society officer I can say that we keep this firms card on our cork board. Not only have they represented us succesfully as a non-profit organization, but also represent us personally as matrimonial, immigration, and defense attorneys for our members friends and family. I was charged with a crime for the first time since I was 19. This time I knew a fraud conviction would end my career - this was not spraypaint. I knew I was innocent but it looked really bad for me. My co-worker recomended Sean Branigan, and said he was the best new school lawyer in New Jersey. He had gotten his son out of trouble two years previous. Although it took six months of uncertainty Branigan got the fraud charge dismissed. He has old school training but represents the very best in the profession. Extremely high recomendation from me...use him, you cannot afford to horse around when you are charged with a crime. more
