Now I have been sewing since I was 8 years old and I have in that time gone through several machines.....until I moved to Coralville and came across Brandy's. I had been sewing velvet and the machine got gummed up as machines are like to do when dealing with such fabrics.......a friend suggested I check out Brandy's until I could get a new machine and the rest is history.
This store isn't much to look at....it really never has been as the owner has a great enough reputation fixing sewing machines and vacumms not to have to depend upon impressions!
When I took my machine in I expected to get it fixed so I could buy a new one. My husband asked the guy which "new" brand he suggested, to which he replied...."you've got a great machine here...unless you want to pay thousands for a new one....don't bother, I can get this one back to speed in no time!'.....and he did and I DIDN'T buy a new one.....15 years later I am still using the same old machine and am loving every minute of it.
If you need a vacumm or sewing machine faxed call Brandy's....check their hours of operation and estimated time to fix your item and then take it in....you won't be sorry!
PS.......the first person to write me and tell me the "background" of the name will win an award.....trust me, yo have to be a :"Coralville-ite" to know this info! :-)
