This is the ONLY place to bring your car/truck in my opinion. They are HONEST, UP FRONT, & do not recommend OR fix any more than what is necessary at the time - unless YOU WANT to go beyond. Based on several positive reviews for Brakes Plus I decided to take my car in because the brakes were squeling. They spent about 30 minutes inspecting the brakes and then Glen (owner) came back to say the brakes were only about 60% worn and I could expect another 10K miles on them before getting them repaired. They also fixed an unrelated issue with the tire wheel cover while inspecting the brakes. Since the brakes did not have to be repaired Glen did not even charge me anything for the service which was refreshing. more

I had some squeaking from both my wife's and my brakes. I thought it was about time to have them replaced and braced myself for the bill. When I returned to the service center, they told me I had more than enough pad on my brakes and that it was just early morning noises from rust that would happen regardless, I left without paying a penny. What service center have you been to that doesn't gouge you at every opportunity. They said they wanted my business for the long haul, and they've got it. I've been back for all inspections and tune ups. They are quick and courteous, I highly recommend them. more

Breaks Plus is a great place to have your automotive work done! I've lived in the triangle for more than 15 years and I always wanted to find a shop that made me feel like I was not being taken advantage of nor cheated. I have finally found it. The owner and his brother are very personable and devoted to their customers. They have, over the past few years, given me and my family friendly, relaxed, skilled, and honest service at a fair price. As a recent example, I had purchased a set of tires from a local big wholesale club. When I went back to have the tires rotated and balanced, I was told my brakes needed replacing immediately. I decided to ask Glen what he thought. Glen looked at the brakes and told me that I still had 10,000 mile before they would need repair. I'm not afraid to send my son and wife with any car problems knowing he will be completely truthful about possible repairs. Its this kind of honest and competent service that keeps me coming back. I have had nothing but great experiences with Brakes Plus, from sincere customer service to charges to the actual work done on my vehicle. I should mention that I went to this shop based on the recommendations from about 6 people that had experienced years of honest and skillful service from the mechanics there. Turnaround and prices are reasonable, but the big advantage is that the customers I know have always been given reliable estimates up front, on repairs that have always been legitimately needed. The Brakes Plus staff has also been very good at explaining exactly what they found with my vehicle, what all my options for repairs are, and the pros and cons of each option, and always in a very patient and thoughtful - but never condescending - way. I recommend them to everyone I know. more

I would strongly recommend theese guys for your automotive needs. I recieved a warm welcome as a first time customer. They gave me an accurate and honest evaluation of my car's brake system. They also pointed out some other problems with my car that most likely would have left me on the side of the road had they not brought them to my attention. I felt like I was treated like family rather than just an other number. I was also suprissed to learn that they do just about everything there, not just brakes. The manager took the time to ensure that I had a complete understanding of my car's needs and along with what I was getting for the money I was spending. more
