Last year, when I was 19 years old, Dr. Friedman removed my acoustic neuroma. He is such a great doctor. I came to Los Angeles all the way from Texas because he is so well known. All throughout the process, I never had one worry or doubt. My dad is also a doctor and should have made me more worried. Dr. Friedman reassured me the whole time, and came in to check on me everyday in the hospital. When I was released, I formed a blood clot in my brain the next day. I did not know what was going on, but was staying at the hotel connected to the hospital. We called Dr. Friedman in the middle of his office hours and he immediately dropped everything to care for me and get me admitted back into the hospital. He is great! more

Dr. Friedman has done the last 2 out of 4 surgery's on my head. He looks in my ear and remember's me. I laugh because he doesn't remember my name - but he saved my life. When he knew I no longer had insurance or a job he no charged my visits. He did an out-patient procedure on me for free. This man has restored my faith in 1 doctor - him . I come in from out of state for my appointments, I won't let any other doctor near my ear. If he knows he can help you - he will! He does treat everything like an assembly line - from surgery to office visits. He's as efficient as possible - every time I'm in there he's loaded down with appointments and he has surgery on certain afternoons. I had tumors that had gone through my ear and were threatening to hit my inner ear and push into my brain. I would want him to be ""impatient, curt, uncaring"" if I was waiting for him in the hospital. Don't trust me, just Google his name to see what this man has done. If I had my way I would make Dr. Friedman a Saint! more

Our family has a very different experience with the clinic and Dr. Friedman. We found him to be very knowledgable, kind and caring. Although he does do a large amount of surgery, our experience was for a non-surgical issue as well. l spoke to him quite a bit about his other passion which is his research on hearing loss in the elderly. I don't think it is fair to print something based upon one impression. Doctors are having to work harder and more efficiently these days due to the major changes in health care just to support their overhead. We still know that the House Clinic is the best in the world. more

We were disappointed with Dr.Friedman's discourtesy to our mother. She's a diabetic and gets these dizzy foggy spells. Plus she can't hear unless you enunciate and look at her. When she didn't need surgery Dr. Rick Friedman didn't give us the time of day! My sister was in tears but I saw it as wasted time and money. We waited 2 hours. It cost dearly to be told to take vitamins! Then we got a hard sell on expensive hearing aids we found at another place for much less!\r \r Pros: Dr. H House was great to our father Cons: Younger Drs rushed, disinterested and expensive!! more
