We had a very large and dead (i.e. brittle) oak in our backyard. We live near Decatur, GA on about 1/3 acre with a fenced backyard and neighbors on all sides. Thus, there was no simple way to knock the tree over without causing significant unwanted damage. We got three quotes for the work and their prices were all over the map -- which surprised us. In the end, we went with Boutte Tree because their price was the best and we felt comfortable with their approach after a long discussion with the owner Tierson.
For the job, a large crane was carefully positioned on our driveway. They were very careful not to damage the fence or concrete slab. Over the course of the day, they surgically cut large sections off the tree, used the crane to deliver the parts to the front of the house, and shredded them.
They were professional in everything they did -- the initial discussion, quotation, actual job, and clean-up.
I would not hesitate in the future to hire Boutte Tree for additional work.
PS - For the engineers out there: the ""claw"" attached to the crane that grabbed the tree segments as they were cut away was fully engineered and built by Tierson. He wasn't satisfied with options available on the market, so he built his own. If that isn't devotion/passion about your line of work, I'm not sure what is.
