Boulevard Steakhouse

We eat here about 5-6 times a year, and prefer to sit in on of the two cozy/romantic booths in the bar area. Food is always Excellent! I get the large filet medium-rare with a Sherry's salad (crisp Iceberg lettuce, with tomato, onion, and blue cheese dressing) , and fries...I used to get the Broccoli or Mushroom side as well, but it was just too much food! The fries are double hot-plated, so they remain Hot down to the very last one. The owner, Pete, is very hands-on, and can be seen expediting orders on the busier nights! Excellent food and service. We can't afford to go there often but it is fun for a special occassion. It can get a little noisey depending on where you are seated and the time of year. The food is excellent, no matter what you try. The steaks are always prepared perfectly and the seafood is great. My favorite appetizer is the Cajun Tournedos or the oysters on the half shell when they have them. The sides are large, so order a few for everyone to share. The staff is incredibly friendly. It is also very romantic and they are willing to fill any special request you might have. The wine list is amazing, they often have rare wines that are not normally available in OK. i recently had dinner at this fine restaurant. On my last visit to this city I ate ate the mohogany grill. These are both excellent choices for steaklovers. The ambience at the mohagany grill was more modern and superior. The boulevard is classic heavy wood accented with too low lighting., acceptable, but a level under the other restaurant. The service at the mohogany grill was first rate, the staff is clearly well trained. I thought I was in a high end ny restaurant. The boulevard steakhouse had fine service, but a level beneath the other competitor. The steak was excellent in both restaurants, however, the t-bone steak I ate was more flavorful at the boulevard. A memeber in my party said it was the best steak he ever had. I will return to the boulevard steakhouse on each visit to this city. Impeccable service, very knowledgeable wait staff, excellent wine selection, delicious aged prime beef make dining at Boulevard a near perfect night out. Begin with the mushroom soup (delicious) or a freshly made ceasar salad. Choose any entree, you can't go wrong, but I recommend the steaks. Following a phenomenal meal, dont leave without having their signature desert, ""bananas Boulevard"", a decadent treat.
