The owner refused to let me order and take fried chicken out of the restaurant at the Wednesday Night special price to some friends in Jackson County Rehab Care Center. She remarked that she couldn't give the food away. I was not asking for any favors. I went there early to have a glass of wine and would have gladly paid a paper fee for take out. When I explained that my mother was 92 and that my other friend had MS and could only move her hand and that they could not dine in, she stuck with the rule. I feel very sorry for her that she has either not grown up or has not been trained properly. The disabled shouldn't be penalized. Will never patronize this place again. more

Grilled Prime Rib 2/25/2007

The grilled prime rib was ordered med rare arrivied cold (fat had solidified) and well done. Asked for horsh radish informed they out. That was ok because the steak had the best flavor of all but 2 others in my life(and thats a lot of steak) it didn't need the radish. Steamed vegis on side where good no seasoning, the cole slaw looked and tasted like poured out of bag in full size bowl with a teaspoon of vinger? With a grand view of the sandstone bluffs leading out to the Mississsippi River, the Bottoms Up is a wonderful place to spend a lazy afternoon. Indoor and outdoor seating. Great food, great drinks and great ambiance will make this mom and pop run bar & grill one of your favorites. Added plus - check out the Fountain Bluff outside of Gorham on your way in or back out to Route 3 - just turn onto 2nd street & follow the dirt road 'til it widens. Park on the right, the trail is across the road. In all, it's well worth the drive!!! Pros: Food, Service, Atmosphere more
