I have been in this store and watched it for like 30 years and it was a great part of the Paterson comunity seems times change the store has always been well stocked with great items but as far as santeria or even palo worship they fall short very short to be adequate .. i dont recomend this botanica there prices are high the service is great though I mean they can help you find what you need but then again i find what i need elsewhere.. i would recomend stores like azteca in JC or Olofi's which is now Olorun for fresh herbs just to note i am a practioner of both palo and Santeria so i do shop around allot and have seen a few botanicas \r shame Lazaro left Paterson but then again with those prices i figure not to Santerios like myself where happy .. then again if you have the money to spend ..so be it ... \r FYI .. you can find anything you need in the many botanicas in JC to name a few Milagrosa Olorun Azteca ...Ellegua for readings I would ask for good people and be specific on the type of read you want ..tarot caracole ... make sure you aquire honest people and ask many question when you go \r even shop online botanica yuroba 7 is excellent for items and well priced for fresh erbs thee best ..great quality and quantity more

Please read this review.\r I truly am a big believer of tarot readings and the entire botanica beliefs. I have been to numerous botanica's in the tri-state area as well as along the West Coast. Through my experience I have found some good places and other even greater places. \r However NEVER have I had an experience as BAD as I did at the SAN LAZARO BOTANICA IN CLIFTON, NJ on Crooks Ave. I made an appoint about 2 weeks ago. I called the day of my appointment to confirm and I was told I was not in the book , a few minutes after I was put on hold I was told that I am in the book and there are 2 people after me. An individual named Orlando would see me and he had more than eneough time because he was there till 7. When I showed up, I waited about 5-10 minutes and was told Orlando was upstairs...a lady went to get him. She never came back down, then a young man asked me if i needed help. I explained I was there for a reading, he then went upstairs to get Orlando. He came down 2 mins later to randomly tell me that Orlando had unexpectedly left due to an emergency!!!! Are u kidding me????? After I left work early, drove all the way to Clifton, waited around and was told Orlando is upstairs..i'm then rudely told he left and that they have no idea when he would be back?? They then referred me to some lady instead. What kind of garbage place is taht? Please do not even waste your time going there..it is a disgrace! They are liars! I even had my friend call them the same day to make an appointment and they told her they have no idea when the guy would be available and to call back.. Umm how about you shut your doors down because you are the worse Botanica around!! if you want an amazing lady to read your tarots and be honest and true to her faith, then visit Mimi in Newark. Her place is in the nicer area of Newark and she welcomes walk ins. She takes about 20-25 mins per customer and is very genuine and sincere. People have been going to her shop for decades. the owners of this botanica are customers of mine in the beauty supply I work in. They are obviously kind people and if you have a problem saying that the spell kits they sell dont work you cant blame the person who sold it to you, you can only blame yourself. Any form of spirituality wont work for a person unless they truely believe they will work if you have no faith in your heart then whatever you are trying to do will not work. Pros: kind owners more

Now having worked for this woman for a good two years ive learned two major very critical things which im only obligated to let the public know. i worked as her secretary and i wont say shes a bad reader because shes not. Her predictions are not accurate nor do they occur even if you give it lets say a YEAR for them to realize and they dont. Aside from being her client and worker you would think you would see the kindness to be genuine then a charade. Well spellwork does not work and you cannot do it yourself like she likes to give kits. its a job and i would think a professional should do it anyway. she has no time works all day and all seven days to pay the botanica the mortage on two houses one in florida and in new york. supports a cheating husband who takes care of her two children. did i mention hes very jealous like deadly jealous. I no longer live in the state, but frequent when in need when I am. Marge and all her family are the best.
