Lost Customers 9/24/2009

No one greeted me, as they were too busy slobbering over only one other customer in the store. There were 3 workers that I saw. They were very rude, snooty, condescending....maybe lazy (hey you're a clerk in a fabric store for gosh sakes!)\r I won't be back. i found my material somewhere else, and had a great time shopping. They missed some serious change, as I am replacing all the curtains in my home. more

Not Impressed 3/11/2008

I have been in this store 2 times. The "customer service" is non existent. Those working there (and there were quite a few) are all busy in their own little world. They have to see you come through their door but NOT ONE stops to offer any greeting. I felt like an intruder but wandered on in anyway to try to find some drapery & upholstery for 3500 sq. ft. whole house redecorating. After an hour of wandering their poorly lit warehouse to TRY to formulate some ideas ON MY OWN, I left, once again unacknowledged. Their prices were not impressive enough for me to want to return even if it was just for the price. Boone Fabric has missed out on a CHUNK of business from just this one customer! more

Fabric for Upholster or Draperies 12/4/2006

This store is almost like a small warehouse of fabric. Some is well organized and other bolts are end of the bolts just thrown everywhere. You can also special order from books of samples. That is what we chose to do. The fabric arrived in the estimated time frame and was of good quality. I personally do not find that they have enough upholstery fabric and books to special order upholstery fabric from. The staff was courteous and helpful to us. Easy to find on Highway 421. Parking lot is gravel. more

Not friendly and overpriced 7/28/2006

Yes, they have alot of fabric but the customer service is less than desirable. We were in there for over 30 minutes and no one said a word to us. We finally asked for help and the lady acted like I was bothering her and that they were with other customers but saw no other customer in sight. Went down the street to Midas Fabric and found exactly what I was looking for and at a much better price. Oh, and FRIENDLY service! Would only go back if I couldn't find what I was looking for anywhere else. more

I love this store! 11/28/2005

The selection at Boone is huge and the sales staff is quick to point out that even if they don't have quanitity enough for you, they have some sister stores that they can transfer fabric from for you. The clearance selection itself is larger than many entire fabric stores. The lighting is poor, but the staff is very helpful in getting swatches and making suggestions. Just as an fyi - the store often looks closed form the road, but don't let that, or the exterior, decieve you, there is a great selection inside. PROS: Selection and staff CONS: poor lighting more

Great Selection of Decorator Fabrics 11/27/2005

I go here when I don't know exactly what I want. Boone Fabrics has rows and rows of decorator fabrics. Lots of name brand fabrics with prices from budget to high end. There are usually several bins of clearance fabric at bargain prices. Usually fabric swatches are attached to each bolt so you can take several home to view. If there are no swatches, the folks there are more than happy to cut one for you. This is especially important because the lighting isn't very good and it is hard to judge colors in the store. The gravel parking area is rough and it can be hard to get out of the lot onto the main road. more
