It's a cute little place, and it's more about the old timey atmosphere than the food, which is plain old food- grilled cheese, hamburgers and hotdogs, pickles, that sort of thing. It's a fun place to grab a cheap lunch. more

nothing like a chili dog and vanilla coke at boone drug! 12/12/2008

since college, boone drugstore downtown has been one of our favorites- just the atmosphere of a classic breakfast meeting spot for the locals or a great place to meet after shopping or a football game for a chili dog or grilled cheese and fries with a real vanilla coke. more

Great Food, Great Drug Store 11/22/2005

Boone Drug on King St. has an old-fashioned drug store lunch counter, and they serve a variety of delicious sandwiches and hot foods. The highlight is definitely the icecream! The actual drug store part is better than average, also. more

Food is served in a drug store, with the pharmacy visible from the bar. It looks like something straight out of a movie, like Grease. Very old-fashioned. Great hand-dipped milk shakes, hamburgers cooked with anything you can imagine on them, delicious fries, and so many more things. Great for a blast to the past. Food is greasy but not overally greasy. Very budget friendly, old fashioned sodas are also great. Excellent service. Next time you are in the High Country make a stop to Boone Drug - you will not regret it! more
