To the tourists leaving bad reviews.. This isn't a tourist joint. This casino is on the west bank outside of new Orleans. This is a local place that not many people eat at for an amazing meal so I suggest you go elsewhere if that's what you're looking for. Also, to addman1, the proper spelling of the word lose is l o s e not loose and I've won over $1000 at this casino so for that, I give it 4 stars ;) more

This casino ihas the worst food and entertainment in the Greater New Orleans area. No one wins at this casino. You walk into the place and get a feeling of dread. The smell of the sewer as you walk in and the smell of horrible food inside the door is enough to make you sick to your stomach before you ever get to the casino floor. The customers are mostlly locals with no where else to go and they basically have been going there for years just to loose. Also, a warning: Do not expect to win anything on nights they are giving away something of value. They have to pay for it somehow so they tighten the games down to increase revenue to pay for the ""prizes"". Please stay away from this hole in the wall. You will do nothing but loose, loose and loose some more. If you decide to go there, eat before you get there also. You WILL be sick if you eat there! more

Everything was fun and exciting. Because it's a riverboat casino you won't get a variet of different types of machines. The food is good, entertainment, good, and Comps good. It's not Vegas people, don't go there with LAs Vegas expectations. Plus, all you can eat King Crab Legs, Snow Crab Legs, Dungeness Crabs, and Seafood buffet and a great price and you can even add lobster. Entering the BoomTown Casino in Harvey, LA was an experience close to that of entering Walt Disney World in Kisseme, Fl. My wife and I enjoyed a great time of pleasure there. Friendly personnel greeted us as we entered and directed us very courteously to wherever we wanted to go. Being the first time there we needed help with directions. The Buffet was very reasonably priced and the food was unsurpassed in quality, quantity, and taste. Everything was fresh and superb. There were many slot machines at which we enjoyed ourselves playing. The cocktail waitresses were very courteous and the drinks were not watered down. We passed seven happy hours there before we knew it. The only drawback was that people were allowed to smoke in the building. There were no seperate sections for smokers and non-smokers. I thought that it was against the law to smoke inside public buildings, whether it be a lounge, casino or business. We don't smoke and all our clothes were so full of the stinking odor from cigarettes that we had to take them off and wash them as soon as we got home. But we look forward to going back again to BoomTown Casino. Pros: Superb dining, service, gaming and welcoming Cons: Allowing patrons to smoke more

This casino is not worth the effort. It has no redeeming value whatsoever. Went there and my wife and I lost every cent we came with. We are from New York and we will never visit New Orleans again. And the food was really, really, really bad............ Cons: Food and Service was horrible more
