Best

Good: Sea Bass - yummmmmmmm. Bad: Nothing. Improvements: I love the place..

Worst

Bonefish is living on an outdated reputation as far as I am concerned. Typically, dinner for two of us costs between $70-90, and it's a chain restuarant, nothing unique or specia...

Great food, but not a very warm welcome... 11/10/2005

We have gone here a number of times and the food has always been great. While the servers are very attentive, the front door staff should all be given ""attitude adjustments"". Unfriendly and surly would be good definitions of the way they have acted on all the occasions we have dined there. Pros: food, servers Cons: noise, front door staff more

Consistantly Good! 10/5/2005

The fresh seafood has been great every visit. I like the flexability that the menu offers, I can have my Swordfish a variety of ways and never get board. I haven't had an appetizer that I haven't enjoyed. The price points make it a place you can return to often. Pros: Quality, Price, Location Cons: Service, Noise more

No Bones About Bonefish Grill 8/3/2005

The best and most creative, inventive and interesting seafood eatery in town. The regular menu's a treat and their daily specials make selecting an entree a difficult but delicious decision. An exceptionally well-trained and caring service staff make the entire dining experience a memorable one and have you planning your next visit as you drive away. A 10+; and I'm fussy! Pros: Menu, Service, Consistency Cons: not open at lunch more

Bad service and atmosphere outweigh good food 7/31/2005

The food is good but the bad service and atmosphere at Bonefish make it not worth the effort. We were told to be at the resturaunt at 6:40 to be seated at 6:55 when we called to be put on the wait list. We were not seated until 7:20 with no explanation offered for the extra wait. The main dinning room was noisy. Water was dripping from the ceiling onto our table. The staff's solution was to move our table about six inches. The wait person was friendly but was obviously dealing with more tables than she should have been given. The shrimp and crab cakes starters were excellent. The King Salmon was a bit plain. The poor atmosphere ruined the dinning experience. Pros: Good food Cons: Long wait, Loud more

Impressed !!! 5/12/2005

Birthday dinner was great here. The waiter was nice and attentive and really impressed us with her knowledge of the menu. Thanks for making my Birthday one to remember. more

Seating is too close together 4/11/2005

If you want to sit on top of someone else this is the place to go. The food was good - especially the entree and the salad. Dessert was large but average. Coffee was only so-so. Hey, it's a chain. But thing that really bothered me is that they pack you in like sardines. Because of this it is extremely loud and we had to go through a maze to leave our table because there was so little space between tables. We went for our anniversary and I would not recommend it for a special occasion due to the crowding. Also, though not recommended for kids there were several in attendance when we went. Pros: Seafood, salad Cons: atmosphere, noise level, coffee more

Loooove Bonefish! 2/17/2005

I hate to tell everyone how great Bonefish Grill is because then we may have to wait longer for a table! The Bang Bang shrimp appitizer is awesome! I don't love seafood, but this appitizer was suggested by our server and it was soooo good. We get it every time that we go there. I've had the Chicken Pasta and enjoyed it. My husband had the Filet and loved it also. We have always had great service and request our favorite waitress/server. I've told all my friends about the place and will bring my family when they are in town. I hope this helps you to decide where to have your next meal! more

overall bad 1/28/2005

The food was bad (greasy appetizer, bland soup, overbreaded fish, bland dessert), the service was bad (took 20 mins for our order to be taken, extremely slow refills, manager was very rude), and the ambiance was bad (noisy, overcrowded, tables crowded in together). Cons: food quality, service, atmosphere more

No bones in this fish! 6/21/2004

We have eaten here several times & each time it gets better & better! The atmosphere is a little crowded & noisy if you go on a weekend night, but for a romantic dinner, you should go on a weeknight. However, go early because it fills up fast. Their Bang Bang Shrimp & Saucy Shrimp appetizers are awesome! Also, try their filet (I didn't want fish the last time we went & our waiter told me to try the filet.); it is outstanding & puts Ruth Chris' or any steak place to shame! Don't forget the desserts either! We love this place & so do our friends! Pros: selective menu, great food, lovely atmosphere Cons: , weekend crowds more

Good fish with a twist 5/22/2004

We arrived at 5:50 on a Saturday night and took one of the last free tables. Reservations are available. Entree price range: ~ $12-$20. There's a slew of designer martinis, and they run about $6-$7. There was also a wine list. All the entrees come with salad (house or caesar), and bread is served at the table and can be dipped in a delicious olive oil and pesto combination. The service was attentive but a little slow. Standouts: Scallops wrapped in bacon with mango chutney salsa (appetizer), the Key Lime martini, and of course, the fish. My fish was cooked perfectly. I had the salmon with mango salsa--yum! My husband had one of the specials, mahi mahi with a macademia nut crust served in a rum butter sauce. We were extremely satisfied and will definitely go back. Pros: the food! Cons: , noisy atmosphere more

Best Fish in Raleigh 5/21/2004

Absolutely delicious. If you liked your fish with a healthy dose of flavorful sauces, then Bonefish is for your. Several fresh varieties of fish are available, as well as shrimp/scallops and pasta/beef/chicken dishes. Appetizers: Have tried 3 so far, all are excellent (Bacon-wrapped scallops are a must) $5-10 Dinner: Entrees are 15-20 each, and include salad Drinks: Focus on wine and martinis. $5-10 Desserts: Excellent choices, if you have any room left. ~$5 Bonefish offers a few select sauces for your fish (4 each time I have been), that complement each fish differently, and bring out a wide range of flavors. When used, butter is used perhaps too much. Pros: Flavor, Takes Reservations, Good Parking Cons: , Busy more

Bonefish - Excellent! 1/18/2004

Reservations - Limited. No call ahead either. 60 minute wait was what they told us. Drinks - typical Martini offerings. Wine list seemed pretty good. Appetizers - everything looked great. We had the Bang Bang Shrimp - awesome!! Shrimp, breaded and cooked, then tossed in a very subtly spiced, creamy sauce. Salads - House salad, which tasted good, but presentation was a little messy. DH ordered the chowder instead and it was excellent. Entree - lots of choices. The fish was amazing. Had salmon w/ wilted spinach and gorgonzola it was superb. Spaghetti squash was a perfect side, and great for this season. Mashed potatoes were really good too - creamy and HOT. Desert - Brownie to share. Fantastic! Service was great. A great dinner, and we'll go back expect to pay $100 for typical dinner. Pros: Menu Choices, Good Parking, Atmosphere Cons: Reservation Policy more

chain food 11/30/2003

My wife and I went in expecting fresh tasting fish and nice atmosphere. We ended up with blah food, an indifferent waitress, and an overpriced chain restaraunt experience. After calling and being told I didn't need to make a reservation, we arrived 20 minutes later and were told we needed to wiat 20 minutes. Bummer. After only 5 minutes we were seated (it seems they are still working out the kinks). Our appetizer and soup were pretty good but oily and not ""fresh"" tasting. Our server was clearly using her new training but forgot to actually look at us when she described the menu. We ordered based on her recommendation but were sadly dissapointed in the fish. Smothered in sauce and tasting like a frozen patty despite being a $20 swordfish. As a newly opened place I hope they get better but we won't be back for a long time. Pros: fish selection, appenrance Cons: quality, value, service more
