Our 70 pound chessie loves going here. I think he loves the farm more than he loves our home now. He starts whining with excitement when ever we get near. He runs, digs, plays e...

My sweet 26lb hound kept coming home with nips on her flanks and punctured ears. When I told the owners and asked them to help keep my dog from being beat up, they kept assuring ...

The Best! 6/11/2011

The Bone a fide dog ranch is definately a place that you can not have to feel ""guilty"" about leaving your dog while ur on vacation. I think my dog has a better time when he boards than when he goes with me on my vacations. If ur dog is well socialized and doesn't jump really high fences then this is the place to bring them. The first time I boarded my dog that I was required to bring current vaccines with me. The only thing I was a bit concerned about was why I was not required to have my dog current on his DHLPP vaccine?? Which he was, but to me that is a very important vaccine to be current on. As for the bordetalla booster, yes it is important but kennel cough spreads like wildfire and even if they required it every 6mths too it still won't be 100% that ur dog won't get it! At least they require it every year there unlike some places. The business has a newer owner and most of the newer staff that I have met compared to the older staff from before, seemed very professional, caring, and informed. I would definately recommend bringing your dog there, just obviously take in to your own hands to have your dogs DHLPP updated. more

Dissappointing 8/1/2006

Sent our dog to Bone A Fide for a week. She contracted Kennel Cough. We were told she needed to have Bordatella in the last year. The vet said any reputable boarding facility would have asked it be in the last 6 months and they should have asked us to get her a booster. I understand that things like that happen at a place with many animals, but the staff was very uninformed about what needed to be done. We were told she didn't need a vet visit and that it was a virus. Our vet had us come in immediately and informed us it was a bacterial infection and should be treated immediately. Pros: Large fenced facility Cons: Uninformed staff more
