Located in the Westin Hotel facility 11/9/2010

The service was good for a sunday night. The food and drinks were average bar food. Its a fun place for a large group but can be described as a average brew house. more

Good food and beer, very reasonably priced. 3/13/2009

I come here frequently with friends and co-workers. The food's really good, and so's the beer (I particularly enjoy the strawberry blonde). Happy hour has a lot of great discounts on snacky food (think hot wings, etc) and a $4 burger). I'd recommend it for lunch during the business day (they're usually well-staffed to deal with a lunch rush) or for hanging out after work. It's usually pretty relaxed. Pros: Good beer, good food, nice staff, well priced Cons: Not exactly trendy (but then, you don't always want that) more

Great service and ambiance 2/13/2009

A friend of mine recommended The Bonaventure Brewing Company to a group of us. We were looking for a place in the downtown area to hang out. We were pleasantly surprised by their selection of home brewed beers, which all tasted great. We all sat out on the patio because it was nice outside and we got to enjoy an amazing view of downtown. From the time that we walked in to the time we left the service was on point. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking have a fun night out downtown. Pros: great view on the patio, great service, great food Cons: cant think of any more

Food, Staff, Attitude-A+++++++ 10/31/2008

I was a first time BBCer and the food and staff blew me away. I had the Mahi Mahi sandwich and enjoyed it thoroughly! It was blackened to perfection and was served on very soft bread. It was absolutely mouth watering. The staff was fun, energetic and incredibly charismatic. The down to earth, yet professional atmosphere was refreshing and enjoyable. Pros: fun beautiful staff and quick service Cons: Can't get enough of them! more

Great Staff and Great Beer 9/2/2008

I really enjoyed my experience at Bonaventure this past weekend. The manager on duty was very enthusiast and appreciative that we had dined there. Our server was outstanding with his knowledge of the menu and suggested the Hot Reuben Sandwich that was amazing and my friend got the Southern Fried Chicken Salad and enjoyed every bite. The seasonal beer was perfect with our food. Just wanted to thank everyone at the Bonaventure Brewing Co. for making the night relaxing and fun. We will be back!!! Pros: Great Beer more

Poor Service. Rude Manager. 7/21/2008

The service was super slow and it took them 3 tries to give us the correct the bill after overcharging us. Because of the mess, the waiter offered us a free drink, but then the manager came over an informed us we wouldn't be getting free drinks. She was quite rude and confrontational for no reason. I will never eat here again. more

Great Beer, Great Food, Great Fun 4/3/2008

This place rocks! I was greeted by a bright and bubbly attractive young hostess. She was very informative and recommended an excellent meal. I had the lamb chops and they were baaaad to the bone. I drank the Pale Ale which was very good. My server was attentive and overall nice. I will for sure eat here again! Pros: Great Atmosphere Cons: So much great beer to choose from, you can't drink them all. more

Bonaventure Brewing Company Is Fantastic!!!! 1/24/2008

I hadn't been to the BBC for a few years, since I stopped working downtown. I was pleasantly surprised at all of the changes they have made. The menu has improved and they now offer weekly specials which are fantastic!! The staff was attentive, pleasant, and if I may be inappropriate.....very attractive. Smiles from everyone! I was so impressed that I'm designating the BBC for my weekly happy hour with my friends. more

avoid at all costs 1/21/2008

i signed up for a city search account solely to warn people against going this horrible place. someone mentioned that this place resembles a midwestern, airport bar - he was being generous. this is by far the worst restaurant i have ever been. there's no parking, only a mandatory valet at $4.50. a labyrinth of of spiral walk-ways and escalators takes about 15 minutes to reach the actual ""brewery."" the whole place stank like bar sludge and bleach, are ahi was frozen when we got it. ive never returned food in my life, this was the first time i have ever had to ask the waiter to remove an item from the bill. the staff was nice enough, which is the only redeeming quality of this little peice of hell on earth. do not go. Cons: everything more

Best Hostess, and friendly staff... Love the food.. 1/3/2008

This place is amazing such a relaxed and warm environment, the menu prices are cool and the managers there are awesome... This is going to be my new after work chill out spot.. The Brewer rock's!! ... They really go out of their way for ya.. Pros: bar and service more

Skip the BBC 7/19/2007

Since reading a lot of hype about BBC, a few of us from the office decided to check it out last night. What a waste of time and money. Since it is located in the Bonaventure Hotel, finding and getting to the 4th floor is half the battle, (the elvevators do not stop at the 4th floor). Once there, the atmosphere is zero, service is so-so, and mixed drinks are blah and over priced. As far as the food is concerned, you'd get a better meal on any coach class airline. In fact, the entire place seemed as if we were in one of those cheezy airport bar/pubs in the midwest. After the huge dissapointment we walked a few blocks to the usual place and had a great meal and excellent sangria for far less $. The lesson here is that will never go back to the BBC. more

Great service, excellent food and fun atmosphere. 7/10/2007

Great food, great atmosphere, hot staff and amazing service! The BBC is a cool place to hang with friends after work either inside or out on ""The Patio"". They brew their own beer and their Pale Ale is top notch. (The Bartender that served it to me was not too shabby either : ) ) They also have a full bar....I really love The Watermelon Martini and The Oasis Margarita. As far as the food goes they have a super good burger and I always get the Honey Pepper Encrusted Salmon. So good! Highly recommended fun place to hang. Pros: Friendly efficient service, excellent food, full bar Cons: Kind of hard to find. Follow escalator (@ Westin Bonaventure) to 4th floor and to the pool deck. more

poor service with mediocre food and drinks... 6/2/2007

i've been looking for some latenight spots in downtown for a good drink with reasonably priced foods. having read the reviews, i decided to go check it out with a friend. when we got there, no one greeted us for a few mins so we decided to go and sit at the bar. at the bar, we were not acknowledged for 5 mins, and the place was only about half full. we noticed that the manager and the ""bartenders"" (i only used quotations because we couldnt decide if they were just servers who poured drinks for their own tables) were having a these endless conversations while ignoring those seated at the bar. then as i finally got the attention of one of the people behind the bar, another patron came up to complain to the manager who was behind the bar at the moment. the odd thing was that this lady who was complaining about the lack of service to the manager was suddenly confronted by the server/bartender who had served her. instead of asking her server to step away while she had the conversation with the patron, the manager allowed the server to stand there and argue with the customer who appeared to have very valid complaints (slow service, wrong / missing items on bill, argumentative server). this all the while another server was seated at the bar folding linens while watching a game on the tv. Pros: late menu Cons: poor service more

Friendly atmosphere 4/23/2007

I really liked my experience here. The staff was friendly and service was prompt. The menu had a wider variety of food on it than I was expecting from a brewpub type restaurant. I had the ahi tuna sandwich and it was great. It was really juicy and I'd definitely have it again on my next visit, and would reccomend it to people. The outside section of the restaurant wasn't open when I went because of the weather. Also of note were the beers on offer. They have a taster option on the menu where you can try a bit of their beers, and while I liked some more than others, they were all good quality. All in all I'd certainly reccomend this restaurant. Our dinner there was very well done. Pros: Very good food, good menu selection, friendly service. Cons: The hotel it's in is sort of maze-like. more

fabulous downtown pub!!! 1/21/2007

fabulous beer, nice and attentive staff, gets crowed on Fridays, no better place downtown to get a burger (and they are available until 1 a.m.), and they have a great patio for outdoor dining; their happy hour menu can't be beat! It is also available for private parties. Pros: great beer and food more

Delicious cheap eats and friendly service 10/25/2006

I walked in and the cute hostess greeted with a smile. My server was friendly. The food was out fast and was delicious. I had the Lamb Chop Salad. It surpassed my expectations. I was expecting typical American style food but was pleasantly surprised with the diverse menu. I will definitely come back. more

Cool Crowd, Great View 10/11/2006

This place is pretty cool. The bartenders are cute and the staff is super friendly. It's one of those places where they know the regulars names and even if you're not and you come in more than once in a week they remember what you're drinking. more

Slow Service, So-So Food 9/24/2006

We waited at the entrance for 10 minutes without being greeted, so we ended up seating ourselves. Maybe they were short-staffed, but service was really slow when I went (which was a Saturday night--and mind you, the restaurant was pretty empty). more

Downtown BBC, the place to be! 11/17/2005

The signature brews are great, for your first trip I reccommend the sampler. The happy hour menu is pretty good, great spot for an after work burger & beer. The patio can't be beat when it's nice outside. The only bummer is the parking, but that's remedies by parking in the Bonaventure and having the BBC validate so that you only pay $5. Pros: Great Beer, Fun city atmosphere Cons: not a dancing spot more

Decent downtown spot 3/26/2004

The food isn't incredible, but it's a step above typical pub fare. The prices are a bit steep, but reasonable when compared to all of the expense account restaurants crowding the downtown landscape. On pleasant days the outdoor dining here can't be beat. Pros: Outdoor dining, Beer selection, Good atmosphere Cons: , A bit pedestrian more
