Hands down, the best salon I have ever been to. After moving to GA two years ago, I have visited over a dozen salons trying to find ""the one."" After visiting this salon last night, I can genuinely say I adore this place and I LOVE my hair. All of the employees at the front desk are very sweet, welcoming, and thorough. Chad, one of the owners, handled my full foil color and blow out. Chad was incredibly nice, personable and caring. He took the time with me to figure out what I really wanted. I did not feel rushed, at all - which I have felt at other salons in the past. I can honestly say I walked out the door with the BEST color and blow out I have ever had. This is coming from someone who consistently dyes their hair every 6 weeks. Also, the products seem amazing and smell incredible! I will definitely continue to come here and I highly, highly recommend it!! more

have to tell you that I came to Bon Vivant after being greatly frustrated with the attitudes,prices and pushy product sales at an upscale salon in the Mall. (cut and color was costing me a fortune, not to mention several hours of my time). more

A few weeks ago, I was invited to be a model at Bon Vivant for a haircutting class. I wasn't really sure what to expect, but what I recieved was amazing! The training that the staff goes through is really good. Everyone at the salon was so friendly and inviting. I got one of the best haircuts I've ever recieved, and I was actually educated on how to style my hair!! I will definately be back!! more

I've been a client of Bon Vivant for over a year now, and I absolutely love it! I've seen several of the stylist there and they are all great. I always get great service and awesome hair. The products are absolutely amazing as well!! The products and service are both very much worth the money. more

For years now, I have been going to this wonderful salon, With beautiful, caring stylist that treat me as if I'm Princess Diana! I have referred my daughters and friends there and found over the years, many of my church family and non-for-profit friends love them too! They are all full of energy and appeal to the younger generation, but have class and warmth that makes an spunky old lady like me just beating down their door ever 5 weeks. They take time to listen to what you want and even take more time before you come in to think about your color and plan for changing seasons. They really know how to keep any age fun and updated and in style. I love their products, too. They are like prescription vitamins for your hair but without the cost! The prices are more than reasonable and when I couldn't get in to see my favorite girl, she had one of the other girls who were trained with her to get me in and she consulted so that I was still taken care of before my reunion. It is a very upscale salon and reminds me of something I would see in Buckhead but it's right here in Woodstock! more

Pros: the stylists are highly trained, skilled,very talented (most are even pleasant and personable), and they do amazing work with hair. The salon's products are amazing (they are on the expensive side, but I can assure you, they are well worth the price), BUT, the salon will lead you to believe the products are ONLY made for them, which is untrue. The company who produces their line of products also supplies other nationwide salons with these exact products; each salon can choose their specific line, so Bon Vivant does have an exclusive ""line"" and are the only salon in GA with these products, but these products are NOT developed by or produced solely for Bon Vivant and can be purchased at other salons in the U.S. This is very misleading and is unethical to tell people these are THEIR products. Cons: management lacks sufficient professionalism, and has a very cocky attitude. The owners do a poor job at providing employees with a stable or pleasant work environment. Initially they come off as very pleasant, Christian people but they belittle and insult their employees, require far too strict requirements for employees (to clarify, I am NOT saying a dress code is too much to ask for any work place, but having your boss personally take you shopping and pick out the clothes that YOU have to buy for work and requiring $500 in MAC ONLY makeup is excessive, especially when the employee has to pay for all of this upfront to start the job when they have been unemployed for two years and don't have the money to put out upfront for these items- the owners don't care, lacking all empathy for their staff, and still require you to purchase everything THEY choose for you), and overall lack any compassion for their employees. What initially seemed like a dream job turned into a total nightmare. If they treat their employees this way, imagine how they talk about you [their clients] when they aren't around (and yes, they do talk about the clients, which is very unprofessional and rude). Many of the employees talk badly about their work experience, to quote one, ""I am so done with this place"", and they are terrified to tell the owners that they aren't wearing the required MAC makeup due to the expense. This type of environment is unhealthy and stressful for employees and will eventually start to rub off on the clients. This salon is skilled and WILL do a great job on your hair; but if you are one of many who are misled into thinking this is a Christian-based salon with super nice, caring owners, you couldn't be more wrong. I suggest going to a comparable salon that will provide you with an equally great service without the high-and-mighty, better-than-thou atmosphere. more

I was invited to come to Bon Vivant as a model, which means that I will receive all my services for free from a beginning stylist. I wasn't really expecting anything, but I got everything. They were really kind and helpful. Plus they really like coupons! I love coupons; they're awesome. You get to save money and be in this crazy cool, relaxing atmosphere. I am a fan, and I can't wait for my next appointment! more

I went into the salon not expecting to be pleased because I am VERY VERY picky about my hair, but from the very first second I walked into the salon, I felt completely comfortable. The front desk staff greeted me and gave me a tour of their beautiful salon. Again, wasnt expecting much because it is in Woodstock, but it looks like it belongs in SoHo, New York. Very high end and very impressive. My stylist was nice and gave me her honest opinion of what I should do or don't do to my hair. More importantly, she listen to what i wanted. I was waited upon and pampered the whole time. I was asked if i wanted cookies or coffee while i waited for my stylist to prepare my color, given magazines, and had THE BEST SCALP MASSAGE EVER!!!! I now have the best cut and style i have ever had. I will never go to another salon because I found exactly what I want here. Pros: Great service! Friendly staff! Amazing cut and color! I have been going to Bon Vivant for approx. 5 years now. I have had nothing but wonderful experiences with the receptionists (giving you reminder calls when your appointment is coming up....key!!!, with Kaitlyn, Rachael, and the owner. They seem to be refreshingly honest when you suggest a style or color that you SHOULD NOT try and then make some suggestions that would work for someone's face shape and skin color. Also, the gentleman owner is friendly and has been nothing but courteous and professional. The other thing that I can point out that is a bit ""iffy"" is the high prices on some of their products that they sell. My girls also have gotten their hair cut there (ages 13 and 11) and they have come out looking like a million bucks! I'm not wealthy by any means, but sometimes you have to pay a little more to get better quality. And when a stylist is in high demand, yes...it is a pain to get booked a month down the road, but once you are in...they prebook your dates for you so you are in like Flynn. I absolutely love the stylist at this salon, they are a bit higher priced than others but I would pay to have these stylist. The only negative thing I would say about this salon is it has horrible ownership skills, the owner will not deal with you and deal with issues at hand even if he is in the salon, he will tell the girls to tell you to leave a message on my voice mail and I'll get back to you, which is very rude and horrible management skills because if you are the person in charge and there is a crisis going on it is in your full duty to step away and handle the situation. I have been to dozens of salons, including the top salons in LA, NY, and Midtown Atlanta. I have to say this salon is right up there with them. My hair actually looked better than it did then when I left a celebrity stylists chair. I received so many compliments from friends, and strangers it was amazing. Not to mention that their staff is the most friendly group of people I know! I also talked to them about the training and schooling they put their stylists through, it is top notch! They make complete sure their stylists are ready to be on that floor. And they LISTEN to you and your needs, and give you great suggestions on taking care of your new look. I feel like the people who work there are a family, not only are they friendly to clients but also to each other, and thats a nice environment to be in. I usually go to one of the owners Chad or Maureen to get my hair done, but any of the stylists are just as talented, as they were personally trained by them. This salon went above and beyond to make this experience great for me, and its better than I ever could ask for! And the products I bought make my hair so soft and GORGEOUS that my hair looks like I stepped out the salon every day. Pros: Talent, postive environment, my hair looks amazing! I have mixed feelings about this salon. My first visit was great and I couldn't wait to come back. The next time my cut was un-even and the color wasn't close to the root at all. After I had sat down a young lady came next to me and stepped a huge insect. Then offered me a drink and cookies! When my color was sitting they dropped a towel on the floor and put it up even though it was dirty! My color and cut was nothing to show off. I paid way to much to sit in there for two hours. I have gone here since it opened--I drive 22 miles to get here! I have worked with Christy and Maureen (one of the owners) and they are wonderful. I can't speak more highly of their professionalism and the quality of the services they provide. I always enjoy coming here and get lots of compliments on my hair from not only friends, but strangers...I couldn't recommend this more highly! Pros: Service, quality of haircuts more

My friend recommended this salon. She and her daughter always have their hair cut and colored here. She knows how picky I am with my hair. I decided to give it a try and I really liked it. Rachel is very nice and friendly. She listened to what I wanted, made conversation, recommended me some products but did not pressure me to buy them. I got a 10% off my second visit and got a birthday discount as well. I have very curly hair and wanted to have it straightened. I had tried at home always with terrible results. I came out of the salon with the flatest hair possible! I really liked it. more

I did not appreciate the attitudes of the owners at this salon. When I came in for my first (and last) visit, the lady that owned the salon was apparently teaching a class during salon hours. As my hair was processing, I heard her chastizing one of her interns in front everyone. It was very unprofessional and very uneccessary. You could see on the student's face, their humiliation and frusteration with this lady. She was overly critiquing every little thing about this person. Pros: The receptionists were friendly and stylist was fairly on time. Cons: The attitudes of the owners and stylist. Hair turned out not what I wanted. more
